G&G Max Pure Pink Circle Lens Video Review
6:16 PMToday I have another lens that was graciously sponsored by Pinky Paradise. As I mentioned in my Twitter (follow me here) I thought they were really cute and exciting! The reason? They are PINK! :D
As you probably already know I am a huge fan of anything pink, cute, princessy, etc, etc so I jumped all over this review. And let me tell you, I'm not disappointed.
Here is the lens and animal case. I had a pink bear in the video, but I wanted to show this elephant too cause it's super cute. ^^
You can see the pattern of the actual lenses here and as you can see, the color printed on the lens itself is a pale, salmon pink with a bit of a rippled sunburst pattern fading into a black limbal ring.
Here are close-ups of the lens in dimmer and more direct indoor light. In dimmer light, it blends nicely into my natural brown iris color and in the brighter light, the pale pinky-lavender shade really pops. I'm almost certain the pink color would be even brighter in natural light but it was late when I tried these out after work. ;)
And how it looks on my face
All in all, I really really love these lenses! Even with the first wear, they were very comfortable to me and I wore them for around 4 hours with no problems. I have pretty sensitive eyes and often feel discomfort with lenses after as little as an hour but these didn't dry my eyes out and didn't make me dizzy either. Even plano lenses can be slightly... I don't want to say blurry, but a little wonky sometimes but these didn't have that problem. The only issue I had was since they were 14.5mm, the actual lens is quite large and I had troubles getting it into my left eye at first. Once it was on, it felt pretty good and didn't slide around my eyeball like some lenses do.
Now, you'll have to forgive me because I got a little snap happy since these lenses are so cute! I'm just loving how they come out in pictures. They are probably one of the most flattering lenses in my collection! Barely purple-toned but not unnaturally so like my Adult Violets. More like a softer and cuter lens that I could wear on any ordinary day. So with no further ado, onward commencing with le pic spam!
Smile with teeth, since it seems to always be requested.
I know I look like I'm 12 here. Better that than looking old, M I RITE??
Obligatory Asian Victory sign! -_-V
I did want to mention that I'm wearing Skin 79 Super BB Triple Functions (Hot Pink) bb cream that I also received from Pinky Paradise which so far I'm loving! Really makes skin look smooth and flawless. Will do a review once I test it out for a while longer.
I also used Lioele Blooming Pearl Shimmer Base (pink) from Pretty and Cute which I failed at swatching on my hand here but I think you can pick up on the slight glow in my complexion in these pics. I'll review this also once I've tested it out a bit longer! (Just realized I'm doing an Asian "punch in the face" pose as per Asian Poses. You guys should visit this site. It's hilarious!)
These were my attempts at looking really fobby
Nomming on a red bean paste bun? J/K it's really a cell charm from my friend Janie who runs Pretty and Cute. ;) You guys should visit and follow her personal blog here!
Ok, I'm sure you're all very sick of my face now so I'll just leave you with one last Myspace-angled shot. XD
I LOVE THESE LENSES!!! :D

ReplyDeleteawww Jen, gorgeous as always! I was waiting for Eki to do her review on these too!! They are sooo natural looking on you. I am placing an order with PinkyParadise soon. I think i'll have to throw these pink ones into my order..
ReplyDeleteOmmmmggg Jen! You're so pretty! You definitely don't look your age. You look like you could still be in HS. hehe! jk! but seriously! toooo cute! just wanna pinch your cheeks :D (ok, im starting to creep myself out now haha)
ReplyDeleteanyways, love the lenses. when i saw that it said PINK i was like WTH? seriously? but when i saw them on you I was like WOOOOOW! they look so natural looking, almost like brownish.. it looks absolutely gorgeous & the one wearing it is more so. <33
I want those lenses now hehe!!
You look so cute! <3 I have to say that these weren't really what I expected when you said pink because I was actually expecting a brighter pink than this. I like how it's subtle enough for every day wear though! :D
ReplyDeleteYour pics are so cute~~~
Victoria: I had a really simple eye look... Just used 1 shadow color Indian Girl by Sigma makeup. I had Urban Decay liner in Yeyo for tearducts and a Loreal HIP purple liner for lower lash line, and Sugar cosmetics false lashes. :)
ReplyDeleteThese are so natural and pretty. I loovveee these so much compared to some of your cooler coloured lenses like the blues and greys. ! xo
ReplyDeleteJen, how was your double lids created in this post? did u use tape?
ReplyDeleteAwe, Jen. You look flawless in your pictorials! Lol you definitely made me check out the website. I was an anonymous reader to your blog for awhile up until now! Lol keep up the fabulous work and thanks for your helpful tut.
ReplyDeleteKim
omg you look gorgeous!
ReplyDeletethese look amazing on you
my cart on pinkyparadise just grows everytime you declare a go on a lens
joey
Anonymous: My double lids were created just from using false lashes here. No tape or glue. I might post a video up on that sometime. ;)
ReplyDeleteAlicia: Ah, thank you! I agree, warmer lenses look better on me since I have so much yellow in my skintone. I find cooler lenses tend to wash me out!

Love the look! Were you wearing your double sticky eyelid tape?
ReplyDeleteJust read your response to my question. Never mind! Great job as always :)
ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS LENSES!!!! =O
ReplyDeletehaha cut asian poses :P I love the contacts!!!!
ReplyDeleteIts soo pretty on you ^^ I really want to buy the same pair but... um... I ordered from Pinky Paradise a little bit more than a 2 weeks ago and I haven't got any news from my package and I have sent 2 emails to their customers service and no answer since then... Do you know if something is going on??? (Im sorry for this weird question, but I've been waiting anxiously for their answers ^^;)
ReplyDeleteOMG! I was skeptical about these lens, but they look gorgeous on you! So dolly looking. You pull them off so well. I was afraid they would be too big and they are, but how do you make look so natural?! I would probably scare the crap out of someone with these on. XD My eyes are so tiny. :(
ReplyDeleteu are soooo pretty and sweet ^^
ReplyDeletetoo bad i can't wear lenses =(
super cute Jen!~ :) I'm really tempted to get these but I think 14.5mm is wayyyyy too big for my eyes. Even DM23s look crazy big on me. haha :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the review n the gorgeous pics as always <3
the last picture of you in the video is SO pretty!!! and btw, you are so cute when you laugh to yourself in your video ^^ hehe
ReplyDelete♥camillaの✿ and elleandish: I'm always very skeptical of 14.5 lenses too but I think the "dolly" large factor has more to do with the lightness of the lens than the size. Light-colored lenses look smaller and darker colors like grey seem to give a bigger dolly look. I don't usually like 14.5's as much but I love these! And I naturally have small irises too. :)
ReplyDeleteJen, weird question, but what's the height of your eyes? from top to bottom? XD i'm just wondering how big they are and compare them to mine, to see if these lens might fit me or not. ^^ thanks.
ReplyDeleteYou look amazing with these pink contacts! What kind of Sugar falsies are you wearing? They look sooooo nice--I wanted to try them when they went on clearance at Sephora/Cherry Culture, but they were always sold out! :-(
ReplyDeletelooks like anime eyes XD very flattering on you! :D
ReplyDeleteLOL you're so cute Jen! Whenever you mention that the color is pink, you become so happy haha. I love pink too, it's my favorite color <3 I saw your twitter update about these lens and i got really curious about them because well, they're pink LOL. They look great on you though. Like you said, they do look quite natural. I usually wear grey and brown when it comes to circle lenses but i want to try these out. Hopefully i won't look weird in them =/ The review was very helpful. Thank you!
ReplyDeletethe pink lenses are awesome! same goes to you ^^
ReplyDeleteLooks really good on you!!
ReplyDeletebut i wonder how they will be in natural daylight and flash.
I heard the bb cream is really good from a youtuber too! can't wait for your review on it~

ReplyDeletewhat is the regular size of lens? is it dangerous at all to have such "big" lens? btw, are these prescriptions?

ReplyDeleteOkay, so out of ALL colors of the rainbow, I really did not think that PINK would look good as a circle lense. Jen, you've proved me so wrong. It looks STUNNING on you!

ReplyDeleteget snap happy all you want! lol. you look so gorgeous! and I loved how you were really smiley in your video. you're more beautiful when you smile. and I would also think those lenses would make you look like you have blood shot eyes or something but they look really dolly on you.

ReplyDeleteCheers!
you look so gorgeous in all the pictures :) but do the lenses look unnatural in harsher light?
ReplyDeletelenses and false eye lashes looks super cute :):)
ReplyDeleteHi Jen, I love your blog! You look stunning! Anyway, I was wondering what Solotica Hidrocor lenses you'd recommend for someone that wants a hazel/green look with dark red/brown eyes (like yours). I'm between the ocre and mel, but just don't know which to choose :/ thanks!
ReplyDeletei don't think i've ever seen cuter pics, hahaha! these are awesome :D
ReplyDeleteHi! Jen, would u recommend wearing those even w/o makeup??? I really want those lens esp. after seeing your review, but i usually don't wear makeup and i'm worried they'll look weird on me w/o makeup.
ReplyDeletehey Jen =)
ReplyDeleteDO you think it would look weird if i wear the pink lenses without make up on?
and also, would you say that G&G and EOS are more comfy to wear than GEO lenses? For me, my GEO contacts irritated my eyes, so eventually I just stopped wearing them. so now i want to try EOS grey or max pure pink. I saw your previous blog post about the ultrasonic lens cleaner. Does it work well? And does it save a lot to use the machine in terms of using the saline solution? I bought some solution from costco for $6/three bottles. Is using the machine going to save me more? xD Thank you for answering my questions!!! =D!!! And you look so cute in the pink lenses!!!! <3
ReplyDeleteI have a question..I want to order the pink contacts from pink paradise..when it ask u for the quantity..is it just 1 as in one pair..or i have to put quantity 2 to get left and right??..im confused on how u order them..please let me know..i would love to buy them but i wouldnt wanna order two pairs by mistake;) thank u in advance love ur blog by the way
ReplyDeleteHi! Don't know if you'll even see this since this post was written so long ago, but I was interested in trying out circle lenses. They look great in photos, but are they too much in real life? I wouldn't want to scare anyone off, haha.
ReplyDeletei love those pink lenses on you!! checked out pinkyparadise.com..
ReplyDeletethe display pics of the lenses seems a bit weird.. not the color shown in your youtube.. just want to make sure its the right one b4 i buy them!
so is this the right one?
http://www.pinkyparadise.com/webshaper/store/viewProd.asp?pkProductItem=328
thx! :) looking forward to your next video!
Aww you're so pretty! And you make me want to try contacts again, though last time, it took me over 3 hours and I still never managed to get the left one in. =(
ReplyDeleteAlso: Love those bread-foam cell phone charms! I have two myself. They're adorable~
Jen what kind of camera are you using to take these beautiful pictures?
ReplyDeleteJen, I never write reviews or comment on blogs but I felt compelled to since I purchased the skin79 bb cream off Pinky Paradise after I saw your review. I must say that it took me over a month to receive the product and when I got it I found it came from Malaysia. Since it's a Korean product I highly question why it was shipped from there. Also, the box had an expiration stamp for 2014 but the bottle was stamped January, 2012... I had ordered it March, 2012. Their site is also impossible to get a hold of. I hope you would consider my review when you're advertising for their site for the credibility of your name. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteHi Shells, the Pinky Paradise shop is indeed located in Malaysia and there are lots of Asian companies online that sell Korean products since Korean products are popular everywhere. One thing to remember about Korean cosmetics and other products like lenses is that they print the manufacture date on the product instead of the expiration date. I will definitely keep your concerns in mind though, and speak with them when I get the chance!
DeleteLove your blog! love those pink contacts on you! you look stunning amazing with them. I never worn contacts me and a bit scared. I want to check them out. I can't seem the exact one you have! Could you email me the exact link of the one you got? If you don't mind. My email is at kellylinh.phan@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteonce again love love your blog! I can learn a lot from you.
Your blog is really helpful. and i especially love your reviews!!! i'm planning to buy the G&G max pure pink lenses. but when i looked it up on the net, it seems that EOS also has max pure pink lenses. is there a difference between the two? if you don't mind, please email me at mai_mayorie@yahoo.com. THANKS!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, and those pink lenses look awesome on you by the way. =)
