REVIEW & SWATCHES | Burberry Spring/Summer 2016 Runway Palettes
10:59 PMIf any of you remember how gaga I went over Burberry's limited edition fragranced highlighting powder over the holidays, you will know why I wanted to dedicate a separate review post for these gorgeous face illuminating powders that Burberry has released for their Spring/Summer 2016 collection, available at Sephora. From the delicate lace pattern to the lovely formula the Runway Palettes are absolutely killing it in the luxury highlighting powder department. A huge thank you to Burberry and Sephora for partnering with me and sending me these beauties!
There are 2 shades available with White No. 01 giving a pearly white sheen, and Nude Gold No. 02 giving a wonderful neutral gold wash. They are unscented powders which is a plus to my sensitive nose and can be used as a traditional cheek highlight as well as an eyeshadow since they are actually very pigmented compared to other highlighters on the market.
Seriously though, my heart just pounds looking at that gorgeous lacy print. To die for!
I also wanted to show just how pigmented these babies are so here's a swatch side-by-side for a finger swipe versus a wash of color. Just to put this in perspective, other highlighters won't even show up on camera very well as a wash so the Runway Palettes mean business!
On my medium, yellow-undertone skin I definitely prefer (dare I say love?) Nude Gold No. 02. I like that the pigmentation is there but doesn't come off looking glittery or falling into fine lines in a bad way. White No. 01 is a little trickier on deeper skin colors since it's so bright and opaque so I'd recommend this for lighter skintones unless you are going for a very bold strobing look or are using a very light hand. Using less product for more bang is always a plus in my book though, since it will make the product last longer and you have more gratification compared to something you'll need to pack on for visibility. Among the luxury set, this is my favorite highlighter and I haven't been able to quite replicate the buttery smooth yet impactful effect from another brand. I highly recommend it as a splurge you won't be disappointed by and can wear everyday.
Burberry Runway Palettes as well as Burberry's entire Spring/Summer 2016 collection are now available at Sephora and Burberry for $68.
Readers, will you be trying out anything from the Spring/Summer collection? What shade of highlighters do you prefer (White? Gold? Pink?)? Let me know in the comments!

Where did you get that adorable pink clip that you wear in your latest YouTube video?!
ReplyDeleteIt's actually a velcro-backed bow and I got mine from PrettyandCute.com but I've gotten simple velcro ones from Japanese gift shops and online stores. I found this one on amazon but it's red! http://bit.ly/1QIe9c7
DeleteLooks amazing! I would prefer the silvery no.1 White, because I have cooler undertones... =D
