REVIEW | Burberry Cat Lashes Mascara

4:43 PM

Who has dinky lashes? I have dinky lashes! I don't know about you, but anything that promises to plump up my puny lashes is worth a solid go for me so I was eager to test out Burberry's brand new Cat Lashes Mascara, a volumizing mascara that fans out lashes for a delicious cat-eye like effect. Thank you so much to Burberry and Sephora for partnering with me and sending me these beauties for me to share!

The product comes in the luxury packaging Burberry is known for, with a metallic finish and contrasting signature check print in matte. Cat Lashes is available in two shades: Chestnut Brown No. 02 and Jet Black No. 01. The wand itself has a curvy hourglass shape with plenty of flexibility to hug lashes as it pulls through.

Here you can see the before and after (in Jet Black, of course) in action. I'm personally a fan of spiky bristles like this versus the traditional wand and I found it applies a good amount of product in a single coat without looking overly clumpy, although you could majorly plump them up with a second swipe!

I've got to say, it's nice not having to spend extra time achieving enough va-va-voom especially when I'm skipping the false lashes for the day. You can especially see the difference in my lower lashes which increased in both volume and length without getting sticky or clumpy. As this isn't a waterproof mascara, I did need an extra squeeze of my lash curler to hold up my lash curl after application but the flexible formula kept my lashes soft and fanned out for the day.

Both shades of Burberry Cat Lashes Mascara are now available at Sephora and Burberry for $29.

Readers, will you be trying out Burberry's Cat Lashes? What do you usually look for in a mascara? Let me know in the comments!
