Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you are all having a warm and happy holiday with your family and friends. To help kick off the winter season, I wanted to share with you another lookbook video I created.
Winter in LA is interesting considering today it was 80 degrees which is a huge departure from the freezing "white" Christmases I'm used to back in Kansas, but you better believe I'm still enjoying playing with layers and bringing some life back into the gloomy, chill evenings. For these outfits, I tried to mix what I would wear in actual cold weather with things I'd wear in milder temperatures which you can warm up by adding wool stockings and a nice coat. ;) I hope you enjoy the video!
Hey everyone! It's the last Manicure Monday this year before Christmas and I wanted to make sure my nails were properly festive for the season. You may remember that I did a cute Snowman Nail Art tutorial last year, so I thought a slightly broader concept would be fun this time around. When Elleandish's Sweater Weather nails recently came up in my blog feed, I knew argyle nails would be the perfect answer!
Hey everyone! Today I wanted to share with you a makeup tutorial I've been loving lately using the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette (Review & Swatches). Although you could do this look anytime, pairing it with a red lip makes it a perfect rose gold twist on traditional glamorous holiday makeup. Can I use the cliché and say these are a few of my favorite things? Yeah, they totally are.
Check out how to get this look below!

Manicure Monday: Deborah Lippmann Boom Boom Pow & China Glaze Passion
Hey guys! Today I wanted to do another holiday-themed Manicure Monday and what better excuse to wear a bunch of gold glitter than this? We are just a few short days away from Christmas so I had to represent such a glitzy, iconic nail color. Here I used a combo of China Glaze Passion and Deborah Lippmann Boom Boom Pow to give it that extra sparkle.
Hey guys! I wanted to take a short break from the beauty world to bring you a video that is just for fun. I saw the 90's Kid Tag going around Youtube a few months back and seriously, it just made me so filled with nostalgia and happy kid-memories that I couldn't NOT do this one. Am I right? Therefore I grabbed my fellow 90's kid-in-crime, Phil of Wong Fu Productions (yes, the very same WFP who created Away We Happened last year) and recruited him to walk down memory lane with me.

Hello everyone! Today I have a super exciting video to share with you. There are a few people that I've come across in my makeup journey who have truly inspired me and I recently got to welcome one of them into my home recently. Yup, I said that right. Jerrod came over to my place. What? *cue squeals*
I won't give away too much, but suffice it to say that Too Faced Cosmetics founder Jerrod Blandino is not only one of the most charismatic people I've ever met but is incredibly passionate about makeup and making a positive difference in the lives of others, all while keeping a fantastic sense of humor!
PRODUCTS MENTIONED:
Too Faced Jingle All The Way (pink chevron)
Too Faced Jingle All The Way (mint & dots)
I was really surprised at how much I related to Jerrod personally, especially when it came to his thoughts on women and the steps it takes to achieving your dreams. What an inspiring man!
Jerrod, thank you so much to you and the Too Faced team for embracing me and all the women you help to make gorgeous. It's so nice to be able to connect beautiful words, thoughts, and ideas behind the beautiful products you create, and it was such an honor to have you over and speak so candidly about your past and passions. This definitely goes down in my books as an experience I will never forget! :)

Now that we are full swing into the holiday season, I've been fully consumed with surrounding myself with Christmas songs and festive decorations. Since I carry my nails around with me at all times (who doesn't?) it only seemed appropriate to deck them out in the holiday spirit as well, and Deborah Lippmann Shake Your Money Maker was just the color to do it! Holographic tinsel and evergreen that literally leaps off your hands in the prettiest way! Ugh, I can't even take how pretty it is.
Let's check it out below.

Hey guys! One question that I get asked over and over is what I do to keep my teeth white. Obviously, doing a lot of videos means that I don't want to have a distracting smile, so I like to take good care of my teeth as well as occasionally use whitening products to ensure they are their brightest.
I'm not sure about you guys, but I've found that a lot of products tend to make my teeth especially sensitive so for a while I stayed away from what I tried before (Crest Whitestrips, in case anyone was wondering). The last few months I've gotten a whitening and tooth care routine down that I've been very happy with and that doesn't give me any issues with teeth sensitivity.
I've also included a list of food do's and don'ts for whitening teeth so check out my video & routine below!
Hey everyone! I felt like today's Manicure Monday was incredibly appropriate for it being the beginning of December since the shades in Zoya Jules remind me of sparkling Christmas lights and silver tinsel. This warm dove-grey shimmer just seems so holiday appropriate without screaming "bad Christmas sweater" which is muted and yet refreshing. Let's check it out below!
Hey everyone and happy December! It's now my favorite month of the year since it contains both my birthday (Dec 14th! Anyone have the same b-day as me?) and also Christmas. Is it just me, or was November especially fast? We had Thanksgiving dinner at our place with friends and family and ordered in Jack Stack Barbeque from Kansas City so it would taste like home. Add in a few more Thanksgiving favorites and Monsters University and we had a wonderful, cozy, and very thankful holiday. :)

Can I speak for a minute about the Benefit Dallas boxed powder? I don't know if you remember my obsession with Tarte Exposed blush from last year but Dallas is Exposed's cousin which is so perfect for the Fall and Winter. For the last couple of years, it seems I've been drawn to these plummy-brown blushes that I would have never grabbed in the years before. Call me vain, but I just never looked at this sort of muddy shade because I was biased and didn't like how it looked in the box. Wow, I feel almost dirty typing that out loud.
Hi, I'm Jen and I'm a recovering blush racist. I prefer hot pinks not because they are most flattering on me, but because it looks pretty in the pan. I fully admit this, and I've amended my ways.
Dallas falls into that category of everyday, goes-with-everything cheek shades that does double duty of adding color to cheeks while acting as a cheek contour. You can totally skip the bronzer for a cooler alternative for a while. (Don't worry, I won't tell it that you're cheating on him.) It's also a color that isn't so sheer you have to layer it on, and it's not so dark you have to be super careful while applying it. I definitely see this being my #1 top Winter love.
