  7. Hi Jen! Have you tried the Real Techniques brushes? They're awesome...super affordable and the softest brushes I've found so far that doesn't shed. :) Ulta's having a BOGO 50 off right now too for them.

Coughs are always the last to go unfortunately...this homemade cough remedy helped me a lot before if you'd like to try it out:

  8. Hot coke with lemon and ginger, lots and LOTS of ginger, about half a chunk, finely chopped, to simmer for about an hour with the coke on a stove. Your cough will be gone the next day!

    Love your monthly favourite videos~~

  10. I'd love to see more K-Pop tutorials, please!

Also - juicing some fresh ginger, horseradish, jalapenos, garlic and white onion, then sleeping immediately afterwards works for me. Sounds gross, but it works well!

    Also yoga

  15. For your cough, you can try chicken soup -- it helps you stay hydrated, improves your immunity, provides antioxidants that your body needs to fight viruses/bacteria, helps clear mucus from your system, and reduces inflammation. Or you can suck on cloves, which is a spice. Not many people like this, but you can add garlic in some of your foods. Ginger and honey work well, too. You can add those in chamomile tea (anti-inflammatory). Try to avoid certain things that aggravate coughs until you get better; such as, alcohol, acidic foods, high fat foods, sugary foods, and dairy products, etc. I hope this helps! Get well soon.

  18. You pronounce the "accessoire" almost correctly. It's just that the double c is pronounced exactly like accessories. By the way, the two words mean the same.

  19. I miss your "non-makeup favorites" videos. Please do more of those :) Also, try a humidifier for your cough! All the dry winter air/heaters kept getting me sick until I bought one

  20. The Clinique Chubby Stick Intense - Curviest Caramel looks so amazing! :) Have been in search of a good brow kit for my sparse eyebrows! Maybe do a review on eyebrow kit/pencil or anything about eyebrows!? :D

  23. Hi Jen! I'd like to see a less eyeshadow focused makeup look and more on eyelashes. I really like AKB48's makeup (esp the ones wearing droopy looking lower lashes) in Sugar Rush PV (http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xxkken_akb48-sugar-rush-yyyy-yyyy-pv_music) but I kinda fail at lower lashes so I'd love if you did a tutorial. Thanks! (I posted comment on one of your videos but not sure if you've seen it)

  24. Hey, Jen, in my case, when i'm sick, a cup of hot tea, any tea, such as chamomile, jasmine, etc., is very helpful to get me well. I hope it also works for you!!

  25. Would you recommend the Neutrogena foundation for people with combination skin?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. It would work okay with combo skin but definitely try the "blotting right away" tip I mentioned in the video, just in your T-zone area that gets more oily.

I read someones comment above that recommends hot cola... never heard that one, but hot lemonade always works a treat for me when im sick.

  27. Hi Jen! Hope you get well soon :)
I got the LORAC palatte as a birthday present and have been wanting to exchange it for the Urban Decay Naked because the Naked was so highly recommended by you. And due to budget reasons I'd rather have only one neutrals palatte. I'm so glad you recommended LORAC here because now I can justify keeping it :P I would really appreciate a tutorial of the LORAC palatte from you <3

    1. Absolutely absolutely absolutely keep it! I actually used the Lorac palette in my Valentine's Day tutorial here: http://www.frmheadtotoe.com/2013/02/romantic-valentines-day-makeup-tutorial.html

      Hope that helps! :)

  30. I'm skeptical of the Neutrogena foundation. Looks like it might be too sheer. But after reading your review, I might try it.

  32. Jen...if it's possible I would love to see the trick of how to take off those glitter nail polishes! I've been wanting to get more glitter nail polish, but the torture of taking it off still haunted me! One time my nail polish chipped and it took me literally 20 minutes to take off 2 nails! I almost late for work so I decided to repaint all of them!!!! :C.

Thanks and I hope you feel better!

  33. Jen, you inspire me. I'm from Brazil and here make-up is SOOO EXPENSIVE. For exemple, an Urban decay Eyeshadow Primer here costs the equivalent of $ 54 dollars.
I'm asian too and here is very dificult to find the right color for my skin as well.
Thanks for helping me to get more self confident.
