REVIEW & SWATCHES | Burberry Eye Colour Contour Pens

12:42 PM

You guys know I've been on a big low-maintenance kick (what with being pregnant) and in terms of eye shadows, I'm all about something that is super easy to whip on, smudge in, and stay all day. That's why I was particularly interested in Burberry's new release of the Eye Colour Contour pens, which are now available at Sephora. As part of my partnership with Burberry, I love getting the inside scoop on their products and getting to share that with you all which is what I'll be doing today!

These come in a luxurious metallic gunmetal pen-style tube (reminding me of their Face Contour Pens) with a strip of coordinating color beneath the cap so you can easily tell which shade you are working with. There are a range of 7 neutral shades with 3 matte tones to brighten/contour eyes and 4 shimmery colors to smooth all over the lids or blend into the lash line.

My personal favorite way to use these waterproof babies is to highlight the inner corners and pop the lid with the lighter shades like Pale Copper 106 or Rosewood 112. For the darker shades like Stone Grey 124 I go for the smoky eyeliner look by ringing the eyes and softening the edges out. It's also super easy to do the "no makeup" makeup look with Natural 100 and Almond 104 for an understated yet long-wearing eye. Alternately, you can also use these like traditional cream sticks by applying them before a powder eyeshadow to enhance the depth and overall wear.

On me, they are impressively long-lasting and true to smudge-proof form with only small micro-glitters transferring on the shimmery shades and virtually no color transfer. I can't wait to incorporate these into my quick makeup routine mornings!

The Eye Colour Contour pens are now available for $29 at Sephora.

Readers, will you be checking out these Eye Contour Pens? Which is your favorite color? Let me know in the comments!

  2. I would love to try these eye contours. Just when you thought contouring was left to the face, it's totally not! :)

  3. The colours are gorgeous, I'm just a bit weary of how they'll wear during the day...I've had pretty bad experiences with this type of shadows creasing after a few hours..

    1. I wore them for 6+ hours, no primer underneath, with no creasing but of course every product works differently on different people! I'd definitely give them a whirl and see if it works for you. :)
