Paul & Joe Fall 2010 Beauty: Kitty Lipsticks!!

10:56 AM

If you follow me on Twitter, you will know that I have been freaking out about this collection ever since I randomly browsed online about Paul & Joe and saw some photos a while ago. One of my favorite makeup brands, Paul & Joe Beaute, is releasing limited edition kitten-shaped lipsticks as well as some gorgeous eye palettes for their Autumn/Winter 2010 collection. The collection is called "Clair de Lune" (moonlight) and is inspired by the Parisian skyline.

Cats are temperametal -- just like the moon.
Sophie Albou's most favorite animal, a cat is now sculpted on the lipstick itself. Package is printed in the latest fabric print of PAUL & JOE fashion collection for 2010 AW. Lip color itself combines clear, beautiful colouring with a delectably creamy texture. Contains our "SECRET D'OR," a blend of several varieties of champagne gold frost, each possessing a different overtone and a sparkle that varies subtly depending on what angle you view it from. Together, they give skin a sheer, highly translucent sparkle.

Oh my freakin' holy bageezzzz they are hilarious! I am particularly smitten with the pink in the middle and the nude color with the swan print on the right. Looks like they are the same flimsy-ish cardboard packaging as most of their limited edition lipsticks but for something this crazy with beautiful prints, I'll forgive it.

Here are the Face & Eye Color CS eyeshadow palettes. The swan palette with its neutral colors looks like a straight-up winner to me personally.

068 Paper  Moon

069 Blue Moon

And just because I can, here are the Lipstick C cat lipsticks in giant-sized photos to enjoy in all its creepy goodness.

The really exciting part for me is that it will be way easier to get our little mitts on these puppies (kitties? lol) than it has been in the past since urbanoutfitters.com will be stocking them. You will also be able to find them at their usual online retailers like dermstore.com and beautyhabit.com starting on August 1, which is in only two days from this post.

So what do you think? Will you be picking adopting a couple kitties to consume? Maybe some eye palettes? Do I have a sick sense of humor? I'm thinking maybe yes to all of the above.

=^.^=

rawr.

UPDATE: Looks like beautyhabit.com has already started carrying the collection! I just placed my order. I also found a fantastic coupon code: OPRAH for 25% off your purchase. On top of that, they are doing a promotion for a free P&J kitty purse mirror for orders of $75+ on Paul & Joe items. AND there is also free shipping for $100+ orders which I am embarrassed enough to say I met the requirement to. ;D Hehe.

  5. I love the packaging so much! I have no idea how you would put that on ... have kitty head shaped prints all over your lips hahahaha. It'd be a shame to use, like MAC Marine Life!

  6. haha but wouldn't the cat cause the lipstick to go on your lips inconsistently?

  7. Beauty Habit has them online now. I purchased the lipstick in the middle and the one on the right plus some other P&J items. If you place a P&J order of $75+ Beauty Habit will send out a compact mirror.

    I was soooo excited! :o)

  8. I don't know how I feel about those kitty head lipsticks. I don't think I'd have the heart to take a brush to them, but I'm also not comfortable rubbing things with eyes across my lips. lol. I looove the patterns on the packaging though.

  17. How adorable! If I were to get one, I'd just stare at the cat's face all day. I'd feel awful for ruining it, even if it is a lovely colour.

  20. I agree with others I dont think I could use them and ruin their little kitty heads :( I do like Paper Moon shadow and Over the moon lipstick but I think you can find colors just like them anywhere. That said I will still get the lipstick lol

  21. I squealed when I saw this post! SOO ADORABLE! BUT! How are the pigmentation are the lippies and shadows? I don't want to chuck $25 on cute kitty lippies when the staying power sucks. PLEASE do a review on them once you get the package, I'd love to see swatches before I purchase!!

This also reminds me of the new mac collection coming out in late august, fabulous felines! They really should do something similar. Mac's packaging has been boring me so much!

i've been reading ur blog for some time now, and i really want to say i enjoy it a lot :)

there's something about the way u write, it feels extremely natural, and as if u are a friend telling me about her make-up haul etc!

it's also a nice touch that u add in a little on ur life, so it gives it that personal feel :)

i'm loving it, keep up the great job!

  26. I got addicted to MAC products when their Hello Kitty line came out a few years back. I'm a bad packaging fiend so I'm really tempted to buy a couple.

  27. Hi Jen! I love those lipsticks! Although for the color and packaging.. not so much for the cat head. They actually kind of weird me out :x. The eyeshadows are nice as well (I agree, I like Paper Moon the most), but I think I will pass on those. Thanks for the head's up on the code! Will put it to really good use.. haha.

  30. Hi, thanks so much for telling us where we can order online. I live in Hong Kong and all 3 lipsticks were sold out on the first day of the launch! I was so disappointed because I love cats and I have been looking forward to getting these lipsticks but unfortunately I wasn't in HK at the time. I ordered 2 each plus the nail files. Thx!!!!
