Manicure Monday: Essie Mint Candy Apple

6:49 PM

Hey everyone! Today's Manicure Monday is a polish that is one of my favorites of all time: Essie Mint Candy Apple. You remember back when the minty green-blue polish trend first started a few years ago? To me, Mint Candy Apple was the ultimate pastel mint creme polish on the market. I have tried what seems like a million mints, but even now this one is my favorite and I'll show you why below.

Essie is one of those companies that I know I can go to for colors that I end up falling in love with since they are so classic yet perfected in their category (Example: perfect greige Essie Chinchilly). Mint Candy Apple is one of the absolute best pastels out there and it seems to be very flattering on a wide variety of skintones. It falls very much in the middle of green and blue and has a a great brightening effect on the hands.

Here I used a base of OPI Natural Nail Base Coat with 3 coats of Essie Mint Candy Apple and Seche Vite to add the glassy finish. Its cute, clean look is why I chose to wear it for the first Mani Monday after moving this past weekend, as the perfect pick-me-up. It's a fresh start! :)

You can pick this one up for around $8 at Nordstrom, Macy's, Zappos, or at Target where I purchased mine. This one is definitely a nail staple everyone should try!

Readers, are you a fan of mint nails? What is your favorite mint polish? Let me know in the comments!

  11. Ohh thst's such a pretty color, it kind of matches the other mint color nail polish you got from korea that's shaped like an ice cream.

I really wish I could get that, that matches this new sweater and headband I have!

  14. This doesn't look like my mint candy apple at all, mine's more green whereas this looks blue to me. Still very pretty colour!

  18. It's so interesting how different it looks on different people. On you it leans more blue and on me the green is more pronounced. Gorgeous color though! I just had to get this and a few other essie colors after seeing them on your blog
