Away We Happened: NYC to LA Vlog
7:25 PM
Hi everyone! As I mentioned in my May Favorites video, I recorded some vlog footage as I was in New York City and LA filming the pilot episode of Away We Happened with Wong Fu Productions.
This is the first time I had met the Wong Fu Production team as well as Victor Kim, my co-star, so it was a very exciting and eye-opening trip for me. The sets were quite bustling and a lot of people and work went into each and every shot. I wanted to share my behind-the-scenes experience of the process, so I hope you enjoy getting a closer view of my experience below! :)
Throughout the entire week flying from the midwest where I live, to the very busy New York City, to Los Angeles at the other end of the country, and back home again, I felt like I was in a whirlwind of art created through scenes painted with lighting technicians, boom mics, and Canon lenses. It was my first look at what a film set looks like from such a front row seat.
Of course, one of the best parts was having so much fun hanging out with the team who are all business when it comes to work, and also silly and emotive when the time is right. And how hilarious is Victor? ;)
I feel so blessed to be a part of this awesome team of creative, passionate people! I hope you guys enjoyed seeing a sneak peek inside the world of Wong Fu Productions and thank you so much for supporting me, my blog, and my videos. I wouldn't be able to have opportunities like this without your encouragement and love. Huge hugs from LA!!!

jen do you think you could do a makeup tutorial for the look you've been using throughout the "away we happened" series?
ReplyDeleteI plan on it! :)
DeleteHi Jen,
ReplyDeleteGood job with the series so far! I can't wait to watch the next one! I've always wondered how is it like behind the camera. I didn't know that a set can be so closed up with your tiny room and all the equipments around! Is it scary trying to act with everyone around? I would love to be behind the camera. It would be an awesome experience. Keep it up Jen!
