Away We Happened FINALE: Episode 6!
4:02 PMAfter 2 long months of working hard and busting our butts, the finale of Away We Happened is finally here! This is definitely one of my favorite episodes in the whole series and, more than the others, I think the episode takes you on its own journey. A lot of you had been asking for longer episodes so this one is about twice as long as the previous ones too. :)
If you need to catch up on past episodes, here they are:
Ep 1: http://youtu.be/M-18osIewxg
Ep 2: http://youtu.be/9Ka0aGyFGOk
Ep 3: http://youtu.be/jh4hjR-s7hY
Ep 4: http://youtu.be/tkPd-alWwmA
Ep 5: http://youtu.be/uNkx6OKoUME
We really wanted to make the finale good for you all so I hope you enjoy it!
You can check out the finale video below:
Inevitably, after the misunderstandings of the last episode, Daniel and Jean are both a bit conflicted on what to do next.
Daniel? I saw an ad for a lost cockatiel?
Jean and Daniel both receive good advice from their besties about their actions and how it reflects their relationship choices. Definitely some solid words from both sides, despite the severe pain Ben looks like he's in! Trust me, it looked even more convincing in person.
Be honest. Does this foundation match my neck? They told me I was NW40.
Once again, Jean and Lynn run into Jeremy. How is he everywhere?!
Here's a pretty hilarious bit of movie magic that shows what we have to do behind the scenes to make things look good. These, my friends, are apple boxes. You all know how petite I am and Chris happens to be quite long and lean. For most shots my heels worked out fine, but in close-ups the angle would be too steep to look right. I have my own temporary platform to walk past in a rush! Haha.
Obviously there is a resolution at the end with Jean & Daniel but in case you didn't watch the episode yet, I won't give away any spoilers! You'll just have to watch and see what happens. ;)
It is a bittersweet end since all of us put so much work and effort into each episode. Now that it's over it seems unreal to have to say goodbye to the amazing people I've met throughout this process!
Thank you SO much to Wong Fu Productions, Wes, Phil, and Ted, Intertrend, and AT&T for building such an incredible story and collaboration. Each week, it was a joy to receive the script and see what would happen to our characters next. I was constantly in awe of everyone's hard work and dedication since we could see what goes on behind-the-scenes first hand. I only have the deepest respect for you.
Also to my co-stars Amy, Ki Hong, and Chris, your acting talent and hilarious personalities kept everyone on set motivated and inspired. I feel like these last few weeks have been like acting bootcamp for Victor and me, so I am honored to work alongside such proficient actors whose skill is really palpable. I hope to continue improving and someday feel as comfortable acting in front of a camera as you guys!
From KiHong's instagram. Photobombed by Amy and me!
And of course, Victor, thanks so much for being the hyper-talented guy that you are and also truly a good person on the inside and a dear friend. The series would not have been the same with another male lead. Your friendship is something I will continue to cherish! Oh yeah and that battleship? That's mine. ;)
To my husband Ben, thank you for being so patient and chill no matter what ups and downs each week brought us! You are the rock that gives me strength and I could never ask for a more loyal and supportive partner to have here with me as my life takes us in places we could never expect! Happy 4 years anniversary honey! I love you!!
Last but not least, thank you to all of my readers and viewers who have encouraged me over the last 4 years. I don't know what I did to deserve your love and faithfulness but I remind myself everyday that I would not be fulfilling my dreams if it weren't for you all and, God willing, I can continue to create content with substance that touches your hearts as you've touched mine. Here come the tears. Ahhh....
Please let me know in the comments if you enjoyed the series and, now that I'll be back into "From Head To Toe" mode, let me also know what videos and blog posts you'd like to see! Product reviews? Tutorials? Vlogs? Fashion? I'm looking forward to what happens next!
XOXO
P.S. - Is anyone in San Pedro missing a pet cockatiel? I rescued this guy on our last day of shooting while we were at the Los Angeles port. Not gonna lie, I'm kind of in love. Posted these on Twitter & Instagram @frmheadtotoe.

AH HAHAHA! Did ya know the Amy and Ki Hong wore matching outfits at the end? They are so cool. I wished I had friends like them then, I wouldn't be so lonely. Jean, you and Amy always looked so cool and stylish! Could you do a haul/vlog with Amy sooner or later cuz she is so upbeat and I love her style! You guys have great chemistry together. Love Wong Fu Productions and From Head to Toe! Happy Anniversary to you and your hubby! May you always love and cherish each other and find joy in being with each other!
ReplyDeleteHi Jen, you did an amazing job on Away We Happened. You're just as talented as the other cast members and you're right, Victor was the best male lead choice. You guys had great chemistry on camera. I love the humor as well as the overall story. Happy anniversary to you and your hubby! As for future videos, will you be posting the $20 makeup challenge and can you do a product review for BB cream from Loreal, Maybelline, etc. Keep up the great work! I enjoy all your videos!
ReplyDeletewhaaa I like the behind the scenes part where you stand on the top of apple box, that's really cute!
ReplyDeleteo... its so romantic!
ReplyDeleteI cant wait to watch the next series..

Love all scence.!
So sweet! :) And now to watch all the episodes together... I deliberately waited so I wouldn't have to wait between episodes :D
ReplyDeleteWould you please do a simple 'Best of' video/post please? Best foundation, best blush, best eyeliner... It's a bit hard knowing what to get when you're just starting out and on a limited budget.
Thank you for all you've taught me so far!! You're amazing :)
I can't believe that it's over :-( Definitely do another series Jen!
ReplyDeleteahk why are you two so cute!?!?! Your makeup is flawless in these videos. Did you do it yourself? And looove your hair~
ReplyDeleteI don't know why exactly, but Victor was especially cute in this episode. Maybe it's because the love story between you two finally comes true.
I had this brief episode of where I sorta fell in love with Victor after seeing him do his signature b-boy trick (that hand-stand thing where he keeps going forward as if his spine is about to break off, AMAZING and I totally swooned for him. full on hottie-mchottie right there) I thought my love for him had faded, but these episodes rekindled the fan-girl in me.
All the actors in these episodes were spot-on, and I do really hope to see more of you acting. You're a natural! And kudos to the hubs for being supportive. A good man goes a long way :)
As for some blog post suggestions...if you could do some more makeup tutorials with the Naked 2 palette that would be awesome.

ReplyDeleteAs for upcoming blog content...I would love to know your suggestions for your favorite lasting and moisturizing lip color...something very neutral and not too obvious. I am a teacher, so constantly applying lip color is not going to happen!
And happy anniversary! :)

Oh keep the bird. He looks like he is in love too :)
ReplyDeleteGood job, Jen! And you looked really cute and pretty in the series too. Love both the besties, really fun characters and definitely the type of bff that anyone would love to have.
ReplyDeleteAs for upcoming blog content, would love to see your jewellery collection, especially a close up look of your engagement ring and wedding band coz I always try to catch glimpses of them in your video. :p
Jen - based on the appearance that's actually a female Cockatiel, not a male! Both genders can be quite vocal, not just the little guys. Another thing, she's not a baby as she has her adult hen plumage, that means she's over 6 months old. Besides that there is no other way to accurately estimate her age, sadly. [Referencing from your "June 2012 Favorites!" video]
ReplyDeleteI just got my first pet bird very recently, more specifically a Fischer's Lovebird. Atti started singing for your little birdie when she heard the chirping from my laptop! New best friend possibly? c;
I'd love to give you some advice on your new 'Tiel if you need some help~! I know how stressful and exciting it can be to be a new owner of a bird.
Aww, that's so sweet that your little lovebird sang to mine! <3333
DeleteRight after we got him, we took him to a parrot store and the store owners (they have TONS of parrots including 'tiels) groomed him and checked him over. They said that he/she is probably a very young male. If female, she's no older than 2 and if male, he may even be under a year. I read the first molt can happen from between 6mos to 1 year. He was singing yesterday and he whistles which isn't typical for females but we still haven't named him/her yet since we aren't sure! :) I'll definitely keep on updating when we find out for sure!
Great to hear your little 'Teil is doing well! It can definitely be a strain adjusting to a new environment, but your home is much better than the unpredictable outdoors.
DeleteThe great thing about Cockatiels is that they are sexually dimorphic, so you can tell their gender just by looking at them. The shop owner did have a point, s/he could be a young male who hasn't had their adult plumage yet - which I didn't think of. DNA testing is a great, quick, affordable, and accurate way to find out genders in case you don't want to wait for molting! Behavior can be a bit tricky at times, it really just depends on the personality of the bird itself, just like little people. My Lovebird displays both female (cage territorial) and male behaviors (beak banging) but is DNA confirmed female, she's a tricky one that's for sure. Here's a picture (well GIF) of her sitting in an empty cereal box which she loves to chew up, toilet paper and paper towel rolls are great for birds to chew on too! :B
