Away We Happened: Episode 5!

12:06 PM

Hi everyone! Episode 5 of Away We Happened is definitely more emotionally charged compared to the last few episodes. Sometimes in relationships, we can misread so many things that start small but turn into something much larger than we anticipated and this episode is a great example of that. Awkward circumstances, more awkward circumstances, then huge misunderstandings.

Check out the episode below:

My favorite parts of this episode were both of Daniel's scenes with different characters because of how deliciously awkward it was. First, there is the elevator scene where he first runs into Jeremy. Sometimes it can be uncomfortable enough riding on an elevator with someone who seems to be in an impatient mood, but even more so when you have been in a funk yourself.

The opposite corners of this elevator look so interesting!

The second awkward instance was when Daniel meets the old lady. She was so sweet and just wanted a visitor! I think Daniel should have gone in for some tea. :D

I'm actually... not a visitor. But I am looking for a hot date? You should come with me.

I have to say that this episode was the most challenging one so far just because it was really emotionally draining. As I've said before, this is my first real acting experience so it was a new thing for me to spend hours arguing with someone. Real or fake, it's amazing how much it can pull at your energy levels. I have a new-found respect for the actors and actresses who do this everyday.

We just got done filming the finale episode the last couple of days so it should be up sometime next week. Until then, I will leave you to answer the questions at the end of this week's episode:

Who do you think is right or wrong?
Is it over between Daniel and Jean?

  9. this series has been a lot of fun to follow. delightfully dramatic interjected with plenty of comedy.
When I first caught the first episode, I showed it to my boyfriend and he said it was boring. Somehow he ended up being the one to remind ME to watch new episodes that come out. lol

  11. I know this was a more serious episode, but "I can't deal with any more of your baggage" was still a pretty great pun. Also I can't stop thinking about the hand model every time there is a product placement shot. Keep up the good work!

    1. Hahaha! Well just to let you know, the hand shots since the first episode have been Victor's hands! He just needs to moisturize well beforehand. ;)

  14. No, it can't be over for Jean and Daniel. It has just begun. Jeremy is boring and dull and highstrung. Daniel is a hottie.

  16. I hope things are over for Jean and Daniel. His character is waaaaay too insecure and neurotic in a girly way for him to be any kind of boyfriend/ man to Jean. He actually emasculates himself every time he opens his mouth. I do like that he was going to send a cheque to that lonely old lady. He is a nice guy, but nice isn't enough. I have guy friends who are just like Daniel, but I can't bring myself to date them because they lack balls. BTW, some people may say that Daniel walking away from Jean is a show of balls. C'mon. That's basic. How sad would it be if he just hung around like a sad slug after finding that letter? Really unappealing, right? I think Jeremy needs to cross the line with Jean (maybe a show of force) and if Daniel gets to clock him, then he may be deemed worthy enough of Jean... Something like that.

  17. I love the balance in the writing of this episode-- lots of funny little bits to keep this from venturing into soap opera territory. One of the things I like about this story line is how the characters are seeming to actually fall in love first! What a rare concept that a couple hasn't hopped into bed already and now trying to sort the pieces.
The casting is perfect too. I know this sounds weird, but as an Asian person, I LOVE how the cast is all Asian but isn't following any stereotypes (eating Kimchee while fretting over an A-). It kind of reminds me of the Cosby Show-- how they broke down barriers by just having a "regular" family that everyone could relate to-- only they were not white.
All good stories need a bump or two. And, traditionally the difference between a comedy and a drama really isn't the jokes, but the ending (a marriage/coupledom or heartache/death).
Can't wait for the next installment. How many are there?

  22. Okay, I am so sorry for saying this but why is this episode weird? I was watching it and it seems like it was dubbed and the sound did not really matched the acting. It felt like I was watching a dubbed Chinese movie. I agree with a previous poster, the acting in this episode seems off. It seems like you guys are not "natural" more stiff and uncomfortable with each other. I don't know how to explain it but it's not like the first four episode. By the way, I really hate Jeremy. I really hopes he walks into a parked car or something.

    1. Whoa. I noticed the same thing and thought that maybe it was just my computer not loading the visuals fast enough to coordinate with the sound. Are other people experiencing this?

  23. I agree that the ep. is a little dubby but it's not bad. This series is sooo good and YOU'RE getting better every time!

But all I could think about was "poor old lady" T^T lol
