Mila Kunis Inspired Day-to-Night Makeup

9:00 AM

Hey guys! Today I wanted to share with you a day-to-night makeup transformation which can really come in handy for those days when you want to go out after a long workday. Sometimes it's just not possible to start from scratch so I made 2 tutorials in 1 inspired by the gorgeous Mila Kunis. :)

PRODUCTS MENTIONED:

Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation
Makeup Forever Full Cover Concealer
Tarte Smooth Operator Powder
Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Movie Popcorn Eyeshadow #72 in shimmer (Sephora Collection)
Indian Summer Eyeshadow #79 in shimmer (Sephora Collection)
Lazy Afternoon Eyeshadow #65 in matte (Sephora Collection)
Urban Decay 24/7 Pencil Eyeliner in Perversion
Urban Decay Cannonball Mascara
Benefit Blush in Coralista
Clinique Chubby Stick in Curvious Caramel
Rock the Runway Eyeshadow #51 in shimmer (Sephora Collection)
My Little Black Dress Eyeshadow #53 in shimmer (Sephora Collection)
Walking in the Sand Eyeshadow #74 in sparkle (Sephora Collection)
Too Faced Bronzer
Too Faced La Creme Lipstick in Nude Beach

I completely forgot to take photos in between my two looks so I unfortunately don't have any "final" photos of the daytime look (you can of course still see the final look in the video) but I did still want to share the final smokey eye look. Here is the photo of Mila from the Oz premier red carpet that inspired my tutorial!

And here is my final look! I obviously don't have the naturally sexy cat eyes that Mila does, but I applied a similar color scheme using a silvery-charcoal smokey eye with bold black eyeliner and dark brows with a bronze flush with nude lips. I even straightened my hair to better match the look. ;)

I hope this was helpful for those of you who want an evening look without having to redo an entire face. Let me know in the comments what celebrity look you'd like to see next!

Readers, have you ever needed to change your makeup from day-to-night? What's your best tip for refreshing makeup for the evening? Let me know in the comments!

  1. Jen, what brow product did you use? I don't think it's listed. It looks like a great grey-brown color!

    1. I think she is using Anastasia's brow powder duo but I'm not sure which shades, if I had to guess it would be the brunette one.

  6. Mila doesn't hold a candle to you, Jen! This looks gorgeous. I love your techniques and descriptions, like how a crease color should "hug" the inner lid color, and applying a pencil liner with a brush — one of my favorite tricks! And your brows are flawless. I'd never take the time to fill mine in if they were as nice as yours.

Also, I was undecided about getting the Lorac Pro Palette until I saw your review. You are bad for my wallet! ;-) I'm so glad that I bought it. I'm experimenting to see what kind of looks I can get out of it so I can do a tutorial, and I'd love if you did one of these day to night looks with that palette!

  8. I actually have never had to change my day makeup to the night. I usually do something that can be worn at night as well a during the day, but my makeup is usually pretty minimal and simplistic. I loved this tutorial though! Very helpful and I love the final looks! ^___^ I would love to see more k-pop or k-drama inspired looks! I love that dewy/glowy, natural and simple makeup trend! ^^

    1. Choosing the perfect concealer is a toughie for everyone! The two techniques I've heard is choosing a shade lighter than your skin to brighten undereye circles and dark spots or my personal tactic which is choosing one that matches my skin perfectly (much more difficult to find). My favorite is Make Up For Ever since they have a great range of colors!
