Manicure Monday: Deborah Lippmann Shake Your Money Maker9:00 AM
Now that we are full swing into the holiday season, I've been fully consumed with surrounding myself with Christmas songs and festive decorations. Since I carry my nails around with me at all times (who doesn't?) it only seemed appropriate to deck them out in the holiday spirit as well, and Deborah Lippmann Shake Your Money Maker was just the color to do it! Holographic tinsel and evergreen that literally leaps off your hands in the prettiest way! Ugh, I can't even take how pretty it is.
Let's check it out below.
As I'd mentioned in previous Deborah Lippmann reviews, Shake Your Money Maker is a color that I've had my eye on for the longest time. There's just something about the gold-tinted holographic pieces that bounces light like nobody's business. So glad I finally got my hands on it because it definitely lives up to pics!
Compared to other Deborah Lippmann glitters I've tried, this one did have a sheerer greyish base so I needed 4 coats for complete nail coverage. Each coat dried quickly so it wasn't a huge pain waiting before applying the next layer. Here I used the Deborah Lippmann Gel Lab base & top coat combo with Shake Your Money Maker in between. I know what you are thinking: How the heck do you remove that gorgeous mess? Well don't you worry because I am planning on an easy tutorial very soon for how to do just that. ;)
As with most glitter polishes, it is seriously impossible to capture just how dynamic and incredible these look in real life. The rainbow reflections in this one are literally the most dramatic of any glitter polish I've ever tried! Woah nelly! I had to add this last pic to show, blurry-style, a glimpse of the insane glitter bomb, brain-frying magic.
Don't even try, glitter-wanna-be's. Deborah Lippmann just blew you out of the water.
Readers, how are you getting into the Christmas spirit? Are your nails holiday-trendy? Let me know in the comments!
