Beautybloggers.org Charity Auction!

2:33 PM

Hey guys, I wanted to post up a blog dedicated to the Beautybloggers.org charity auction which is being held for the second time this year, ending soon on December 12th. I was so insanely happy to see how well last year's auction went, especially with my particular contribution, because I know it included my beloved readers who were amazing enough to give such a generous amount (far exceeding the value of the actual blush) to Doctors Without Borders.

This year's auction is already off to an amazing start, with bids reaching above the total amount collected last year in the very first day! It has been such a blessing to be a part of this yearly donation that the incredibly sweet KarlaSugar has put together and I wanted to show my support a second time by donating a limited edition item, the unique Paul & Joe "cat" Lipstick C in 068.

Paul & Joe's famous "cat lipstick" was released as a limited edition item in the Claire de Lune A/W 2010 collection. The Lipstick C 068 shade is called "Moon Shadow;" it's a raspberry pink with gold flecks. The finish is moisturizing and glossy with semi-sheer color. It's a very wearable color that would be flattering on almost every skintone.

This year's auction has other really incredible items including the entire collection of Tarte's Amazonian Clay blushes. (omg!) You guys know how obsessed I am with shade Exposed (which I went on and on about in my Nov Hits & Misses) and I'm so tempted to collect them all!

Another jaw-dropping auction item is Urban Decay's contribution of "the Ultimate Collection" which includes:

• Ammo Palette
• Sustainable Shadow Box
• Midnight Emergency Kit
• Ten 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils: Binge, Graffiti, Covet, Lust, Ransom, Zero, Stash, Rockstar, Lucky, Electric
• Five 24/ Glide-On Shadow Pencils: Delinquent, Rehab, Sin, Narc, Clash
• Five Lipsticks: Rush, Revolution, Trainwreck, Hotpants, Midnight Cowboy
• Three Stardust Lipglosses: Space Cowboy, Glitter Rock, Andromeda

I may have peed my pants a little when I saw that one. Seriously, these are only just scratching the surface of all of the amazing things available this year so definitely check this one out!

Each contributor is donating the shipping price as well so shipping is included for each item. As a bidder all you have to do is sign up for an account which will securely hide your e-mail and personal information, bid away, and see your lemmings go to a good cause. :)

As with last year, your winning bids will be directly donated to Doctors Without Borders which is an organization that focuses on people all across the world in need, especially to women who have been through a disaster. For example, they treat victims of rape in Papua New Guinea, flood victims in Mexico, and women at risk of death from childbirth in Pakistan.

I hope that you guys can head over to the site to see all of the lovely beauty products before the auctions end. Again, they will close down Monday, December 12th at 5:00 PM CST so make your bids before then, and good luck!
