Attack On Titan Halloween Makeup (Colossal Titan)

9:00 AM

Hey everyone! As you can see, today's Halloween tutorial is what I consider to be epic and frightening - both words I associate with my current favorite anime Attack on Titan. There is a character seen in the first episode of the series that looks like a muscle skeleton which I thought would be perfect for Halloween this year. Tutorial and more pics below!

If you aren't an anime fan or haven't heard of Attack On Titan, it's an extremely popular series that just finished its first season. I haven't watched current anime in forever so when my husband suggested I watch this one I got really into it, especially since it's free on Hulu. Not a show for children, but a solid series that keeps you on your toes each episode.

Here is the giant Colossal Titan, the inspiration for my look:

And here is my makeup adaptation:

The really iconic points of this look have to be the exposed muscles and the multitude of exposed teeth which stretch across cheeks to lips. It really adds an extra shocking aspect!

Another tip when doing black-out makeup around the eyes is to use a black eyeliner close to the lash line to keep the makeup from smudging and creasing. You'll also guarantee it's more eye-safe than cream makeup.

Here is the overall mask effect. The shading and contouring is simple, but it adds so much dimension to this animation-inspired face.

After doing this look, I'm so inspired to do more crazy full-face transformations in the future! Hope you guys enjoyed this frightening look and if you try it out, I'd love to see your photos on Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook.

Readers, would you wear a "scary" costume for Halloween? What other Halloween looks would you like to see? What are you going as this year? Let me know in the comments!
