Manicure Monday: OPI Visions Of Love

9:00 AM

Hey everyone! Today's Mani Monday is a new OPI polish that I borrowed from my sister. I was drawn to Visions of Love because it seemed like a really classic black-cherry color that I'm always drawn to during winter, giving a very clean, elegant look. Let's check it out below!

I'm sure I've said this before but the more I test out various polishes the more I respect OPI for having a high standard of quality. As long as the bottle isn't older, the formula is usually easy to work with and the wide brush is my favorite out there. Visions Of Love was no exception and this polish went on perfectly in 2 coats!

I also tested out my friend's Butter London base & top coat set and they have been working out quite well so far. The top coat is thinner than Seche Vite top coat but everything layed down smoothly and dried fast.

This shade is definitely on the darker side of burgundies I own but I love that it's so classic and ladylike. You still get that hint of edge when it's worn with short nails, like when you wear black polish, but it's definitely still a work-appropriate, wears well with everything type of color. Every woman needs a classic wine nail polish in their collection and this one is a fantastic choice!

Readers, do you have a favorite base and top coat? What is your go-to winter nail shade? Do you have a favorite burgundy polish? Let me know in the comments!

  2. What a gorgeous color! I love deep reds and berry tones for the cold months! I have been using Carry On by Essie which is a bit more on the purple side - and I've been wanting to get my hands on a more red toned dark polish! I think I'm going to have to give this one a try.

  3. My favorite color is Lincoln Park After Dark, I bought three of them when they were retiring the color. My favorite base coat is actually not a base coat but actually a gel coat by Perfect Formula. My nails are pretty brittle so I need something that is going to strengthen under my color. As much as I love OPI I am actually really loving Julep, I got some on a whim and I love that you only need one coat on many of the polishes.

  8. Please do not purchase Beneful Baked Delights Dog treats. There Dog food is very unsafe so we do not want to take a chance with the treats. Please inform everyone.

Hi do you use products free of Animal testing(even from a 3rd party) and Animal ingredients?also have you ever gotten a tattoo with Vegan ink? It is same but does not harm lives :)ever tried E.l.f. Cosmetics? They work really good&are $1 and Vegan&not tested on Animals. Also some sugars are not Vegan, some are made with Animal bone char. All Organic Sugars are Vegans and some others. Also if you have an Adopted Furry one please avoid all purina products(have made Animals sick and even die, iams(the company p&g tests on Animals),any food or treats made in CHINA,etc. please Recycle all plastics(plastic bags, wrappers,Vegan candy wrappers, food wrappers, styrofoam, etc)

  13. The most recent black cherry nail colour I had on that reminds me of the one you're wearing now is Deborah Lippmann's Just Walk Away Renee, since you've been trying out many DL colours too!

  14. This color is so pretty! I have a really pretty burgundy from Essie, but I forget what it's called...it's so gorgeous though because it has gold undertones. I love it!

  17. Nice pick, I have this color myself and love the "bloody" look it gives off (in a non creepy way). Also, can you share what type of camera you use for your blog photos? Especially on the Manicure Monday photos, the pictures are so focused and clear and I'm looking to invest in a new and quality camera. Thanks!
