Anyone who knows me knows that I've always loved collecting nice jewelry, especially pieces that I can wear and layer on a daily basis so when Mejuri came to me with the opportunity to design pieces of my own, I was overjoyed to give my design muscles a stretch and jumped in head first with my pencil and sketch pad!
You know that feeling you get when you're at a store and something sparkly and gorgeous catches your eye? Ooooh, shiny... Maybe it's just me and my magpie obsession with collecting the preciouses but I've always admired the beautiful way jewelry is displayed when you go shopping. Everything is open where you can see it in the nicest light and you can choose what best suits your taste.
I'm all about bringing that concept into the home. Jewelry is fun because it's already beautiful so why hide it in a drawer? Here's a peek at some of my collection and how I display my sparkly things in an easy-access, aesthetically pleasing way.
It's been a seriously long time since I posted an outfit last! For some reason I just didn't grab for the camera much this Summer and all of a sudden it was already Winter.
Honestly, I think Winter looks are more fun to post anyhow since the layers and textures are more interesting to boot! I don't love the chill but I do love me some collared-shirts-under-cardigans and a warm cup of hot cocoa. In rebelling against the Winter gloom, here is how I do bright Winter layers.
Items Mentioned:
Target flannel shirt (similar here / here)
Ann Taylor Factory ruffled top (similar here / here / here)
Ann Taylor LOFT cardigan (similar here / here)
Frankie B Jeans (similar here / 7FAMK here / Paige petites)
Accessories from Hautelook, Ebay, and gifts from friends
(more statement rings I love Pamela Love / Erica Anenberg twosome ring (I own this & love it) / YSL Arty)
One thing I love to do with layers is to wear something in a way that I never have before, like this ruffled top. I wanted to do some sort of additional layer with my flannel shirt but I got bored of wearing my tank under the collared top all the time and thought I'd try switching it up. Layering it like a vest allows the ruffles to be really vibrant and adds a contrast of texture.
I love to really layer accessories as well, especially delicate necklaces which I've been doing since junior high. Since I'm petite, big chunky jewelry can overwhelm me at times so I like to add 2 or 3 thin-chained necklaces that are different lengths to add interest to the neckline.
As for the big silver artichoke ring here, it is a newly acquired purchase from eBay which I was so, so excited about! I'm not sure if I've mentioned it before, but I actually collect sterling silver and vintage gemstone rings and this is one of my most prized acquisitions. The ring is signed Napier and is a size 3.5 which fits my ring finger perfectly! I often pile on tons of rings all at once like a magpie (oooh, shiny distractions on my hands) but this baby deserves to have more of a spotlight. :)
This close-up photo is one I took on Instagram and posted on my Twitter. The nail polish is my mother-in-law's in Sally Hansen Slick Slate which is super classy and perfect for Fall/Winter.
I hope you guys enjoyed this post!
I will be doing another post/video on Revlon's Lip Butters lipstick very soon (maybe layer today?) which will go more in-depth with the lipstick I'm wearing in this post so check back again later! Just a little hint: I absolutely love this lipstick. ;)

I never used to be a bracelet person since I can never find bangles that will fit my thin wrists, but I lucked out with a Hautelook sale for Isharya jewelry which comes in size XS which I believe have a diameter of 2.3". They were pricey even at a steep discount but I was very happy with the quality in person and will definitely splurge on them again at the next sale! (If you don't already have a Hautelook invite and would like to join you can use my code here but you can also sign up on the site if you want as well.)

Hello my lovelies! I know many of you love jewelry as much as I do and because of this I wanted to share a jewelry company with you called Stella & Dot. You may have heard of the brand before from seeing it in magazines or on celebrities as I did, and they are basically a company similar to Avon in that they have stylists who sell the jewelry and become entrepreneurs themselves. I definitely respect that it gives women a chance to empower themselves with something they already like... jewelry!
I mentioned this in the video that I am selective in saying yes to review products in general but I am quite happy with the quality of products I received and I wouldn't be doing this review and giveaway unless I was truly satisfied with the quality of Stella & Dot's jewelry. I am not going to lie, a huge downside is that it is on the expensive side, but you also get what you pay for in terms of nice materials and there are many gold-filled and 925 sterling silver pieces to choose from. It has been my personally philosophy to buy nicer jewelry rather than costume pieces for a while now due to my metal allergies so this did make me particularly happy.
For those of you who have no problems with metals, Stella & Dot does have a wider range of jewelry at different price points in items that are simply gold or silver-plated but it's worth noting that the items I received are on the higher end. What can I say? My body literally demands more expensive taste (otherwise I break out). Har har.
Products Mentioned:
So one of the best parts about doing these reviews is the chance to give one of you my favorites as well! ^_^
The winner will be receiving the following pieces:

Good luck!
So tell me in the comments, which piece do you like the best?
I undoubtedly have to say that both the silver disk necklace and the stacking rings have been on high rotation for me lately but I'm sure there will be cameos of the others in the near future.
Disclaimer: Stella & Dot products were sent to me for consideration by the company. I was not paid in any way nor required to do a review for the sample. All my reviews, as always, are 100% my honest opinion. :)
(here are a couple failed screencaps)
Stella & Dot: Now with more armpit!
Stella & Dot: Tassel beards are SO in right now

I just realized that there is absolutely no doubt in anyone's mind that I love pretty, sparkly, shiny things. I would say it's a weakness but hello, I kind of think having lots of pretty sparkly things can't possibly be weak. If anything, it's powerful considering how distracted it can make people. If I were a superhero I would probably be a sparklemonster and every time I ran by, everyone would be put into a happy coma with a bit of drool dripping down.

This is why I am especially happy to show off a few pieces that I received from Jewelry Payless. I mean, there are companies that contact you as a blogger and it's not always so common to see their wares and immediately say "Yes, please!" but in this case I can honestly say that it does fit in exactly with my own personal style. In the e-mail that Raymond of JP sent me, he actually said that he noticed in my Gradient Nail Tutorial that I was very much into fashion rings. Yes, yes I am. ;D
Here's my video review of what I received and also a coupon code and giveaway:
Discount code: 25FROMHEADTOTOE for 25% off at http://www.jewelrypayless.com from now until November 15th, 2010.
Products mentioned:
Three Stone CZ Sterling Silver Costume Ring
Curvy Micro Pave CZ Sterling Silver Fashion Ring
Angel Wings CZ Sterling Silver Stud Earrings
Sterling Silver Aqua Cat Eye Necklace
And here are the lovely jewelry items in picky pics:

(Also, looking back at these pics, did you notice how long my natural nails have gotten? :D I'm so proud of them since I usually have a big problem with them breaking and peeling. I've been using a new product that I'll be sharing with you soon!)
Now onto the giveaway. One viewer will be winning a $50 gift certificate toward beautiful jewelry courtesy of Jewelry Payless! All you have to do is be a frmheadtotoe Youtube subscriber and Twitter follower.
This giveaway is open to everyone and runs until November 15, 2010. Entrants under 16 must ask parents for permission to enter. Winner will be picked randomly from valid entries. Good luck!

I love wing jewelry of all types! So glad I can replace my old, non-sterling wing earrings.
A nice, big cocktail ring with pale pink & purple acrylic stones and cubic zirconia set in sterling silver. The shape looks almost floral in person. The pale pink stone is a bit loose in the setting but otherwise, really pretty.
This ring is probably my favorite piece I received. Super sparkly and gorgeous in person, much more than what this photo shows. It looks really expensive and looks nice paired with my wedding ring.
This aqua cat's-eye horn/claw necklace is actually pretty small and dainty when worn and has a transformative quality to it. In some angles it's a glowy, opaque pale blue while in others it's translucent. I like it most when seen at a diagonal angle. I think it's a cool effect but I wish the little bolt at the top of the horn were hidden somehow. It just looks much nicer when opaque and hidden. Still quite pretty though.

I told you guys I was going to post a quick OOTD video to try out the style and see what you think! ^_^
The video is really short because I recorded it before I went off to work. The weather has really been cooling down lately so layers are definitely a necessity. I don't enjoy feeling cold but I must say, I adore Fall fashion and playing around with layers during this season more than any other because you can see all of the fun elements of an outfit without being burdened by heat or huge coats.
To kick things off, here is an outfit that my coworker Jason (who is very into comics) said looked like the colors of a thousand villains, bright violet and acid green. ;D Considering my big MAC Venomous Villains haul I ordered last night, it only seemed appropriate that I post this today!
I also wanted to show a close-up of the eye makeup. Not because it's anything fancy but the opposite, actually! Only 1 eyeshadow. That being said, this is one of the coolest eyeshadows I've ever used.
The color is Rock & Republic's Lawsuit which is a reddish-brown with a green flash. I love the complexity of the color. :D
Okay, let me know your thoughts of the OOTD format in the comments. Do you think the video adds anything? Is it easier to process fashion information when there's only 1 outfit? Is this eyeshadow color cool or what? ^_~
Peace!

MIA kids' suede sandals size 2 (similar here)
Isn't this necklace so bomb? Catherine of See Jewelry Online was kind enough to send me a few of her pieces so hopefully you will be seeing more of her stuff popping up in my future OOTD posts. This one is my favorite of what she sent me and I swear to you, it matches everything from these bright colors to a plain t-shirt. Very me. Love, love love!

Haha! If you follow me on Twitter you will know that I was teasing about posting my new haul from Urban Outfitters yesterday. Well, obviously I am totally awesome at teasing because I made you wait a whole extra day. It was totally on purpose. You waited, right? YES. Even if you didn't know you were waiting for this very moment, here you are.
*claps* Good excuse, Jen.
Anyway, I've done a bit of shopping in the last couple of weeks and I wanted to share my hauls with you. I think I've gotten pretty lucky in terms of what I bought so maybe you'll still have a chance to buy them. Onward!
Alright starting off, here is a Banana Republic navy blazer in 00p that I found a couple weeks ago at the outlet mall I went to at the lake. It was on clearance for just $34 and ran slimmer than the other BR blazers! Fits me like a perfect boyfriend blazer. And look, cleavage courtesy of my new properly fitting bras.

Next is this nude-colored tunic/dress from Urban Outfitters that has a gorgeous lace top. It's supa'-skintight on me so I don't even know how it would fit busty girls!
cardigan TJ Maxx size S (similar on sale here)
lace-top tunic size XS (similar here)
Michael Michael Kors leather wedge size 4 (similar on sale here)
The beautiful necklace I bought from Ekilove. Isn't it gorgeous and sparkly?
Just wanted to post a quick FOTD with this look. This is about what I've been doing everyday lately. Just eye makeup, blush, and nothing else on the face. The past month has been too hot for foundations, concealer, or lipstick. My skin has been better to me since I've been wearing less, but you can still see some pigmentation spots, acne, and pores. Anyone else do the half-bare face in the summer?
Speaking of lace, have you noticed I've been wearing a ton of it? I'm pretty much obsessed with lace and always have been. :) Here's another couple lace items, this blush-colored sheer top from Marshall's and a white eyelet-lace skirt from Karmaloop.com.

Forever 21 grey boyfriend cardigan size S (similar here)

A petite coworker had ordered some J.Crew Petite Minnie Stretch Twill crop pants online in 00p and they were too small for her so she kindly passed them on to me. They were too large at first so I shrunk them in the wash. A bit of warning to those interested, they stretch over time so they fit at first and were baggier as the day went along. Still undecided on if I'm keeping them or passing them along to another petite.
I was also hesitant about crop pants since I am petite, but they are all over the place this fall! Channeling my inner Audrey Hepburn, I pulled this outfit together. I personally prefer cuffing the bottoms for a casual look. The bow belt was also a gift from the gorgeous ExtraPetite since it was too small for her. Lucky me! What do you think?
Hollister sheer collared shirt size XS (similar here)
Forever 21 grey boyfriend cardigan (similar here)
J. Crew Petite Stretch Twill Minnie pant size 00p, now on sale!
Me Too pewter flats size 4 (similar here)
H&M Bow belt size XS/S gifted to me by ExtraPetite <3
Another amazing purchase that I talked about on Twitter is this ridiculously beautiful Chanel purse that I managed to snag on Hautelook. It's actually sort of like a giant clutch since the chain handle zips across, but it does have a little gold chain with the iconic double C's near the zipper. Lovely ruffles in lovely soft lambskin leather. My first Chanel anything! No words, my friends. No words. ^_______________^
Here's the original pic of it. Loves!!!
So, this Kimchi Blue Knit Jacket is another thing that had tons of buzz among the petite blogging community. First spotted on Chloe Conspiracy, then on Alterations Needed, I abruptly decided I needed it myself since I am fairly well obsessed with blazers. Ironically, Extra Petite, Petite Little Girl, Petite XXS, and Stylepint, all decided the same thing. It's so bad how we all enable each other, isn't it? ^.~
The fit is a little loose in the waist on me, but I'm hoping that will shrink a little in the wash. I wanted extra oomph at the neckline, so I took the satin belt on this top and used it as a loose bow-tie. By the way, isn't the back of this jacket just the cutest?

7 For All Mankind kids skinny jeans size 10 (similar here)
Pretty Small Shoes snakeprint peeptoes size 32 - 9cm w/ 1cm platform (similar here)
Gucci crocodile handbag (similar here)
The Gucci is another lucky snag from Hautelook. I think refreshing the screen a billion times has gotten me lucky because I'd never be able to afford this at full price with a clear conscience. It's so luxurious, it is real crocodile on the outside, and lined in leather on the interior. Pretty much tiny and Jen-sized (don't let the proportions fool you). Eee, my biggest designer purchases ever!
Along with my Urban Outfitters order I also bought this Thistlepearl dress that I had again seen on Chloe here. She said the top was huge but the reviews said the hips ran small so I took a gamble and sure enough, it works for me. A bit loose at the waist, but the hips are nice and small on me, and the shoulder straps were long but are an easy hand-sewing fix. I love the dreamy, floaty fabric. It'll look great with a cardigan and boots for the Fall.
Thistlepearl Chiffon dress size 0
I also bought this ruffle-front bodysuit to wear under skirts based on reviews saying the torso was super short. My own torso isn't actually short, but the bodysuit fit like it was made for me. The linen skirt is also new, from the BCBGeneration store. Love the little buttons and pockets on it, plus it ran small.

A polka-dot dress that is adorable but far too large on me. Should I alter the sides to fit or return it?

Pins and Needles Polka Dot Dress in XS (cuter similar here)
Pretty Small Shoes snakeprint peeptoes size 32 - 9cm w/ 1cm platform (similar here)
Another dress. What can I say, I love dresses! Belted, and with its original elastic waist. Thank you Jean for sending me this belt too! I like how the tan belt makes the ruffles look cuter somehow. Also, you can see the black elastic is rather loose on me in the side photo. Hubby likes the dress though, so I'll keep it anyhow.
H&M belt in XS (similar here)
Pretty Small Shoes snakeprint peeptoes size 32 - 9cm w/ 1cm platform (similar here)
And to pull things around full circle, (this was not planned either) the outfit I wore yesterday. The slightly more shrunken-from-the-wash Banana Republic navy blazer, and a bit of this adorable White Rabbit print. I also bought these sandals for $7 at the Marshall's by the lake! I love their stock of nicer kids' shoes since they are narrower and fit more like womens'.
Banana Republic navy blazer size 00p (similar on sale here)
Urban Outfitters White Rabbit v-neck tee in XS (similar here)
kids' black woven sandals size 2 (similar here)
I also bought a couple adorable jewlery stands to organize my bling in a cuter fashion. I love the bird one but I'm on the fence about the color of the turquoise basket one. It looked mintier online and mint green is one of my favorite colors. Turquoise I'm afraid will clash too much, so maybe I'll exchange it for the pink one in-stores.
Ok, this blog entry took way longer than intended so it's pretty much bedtime. This wasn't even my fashion part 2 from before. Oh well, gotta get haul posts out before they are all SOLD out, right? :]
Let me know what you think in the comments! Bra sale and giveaway very, very soon!
xoxo
