Ask Ms: Bra Fitting 101

8:36 PM

Hello, hello! Today's post and video are going to be a little bit different than usual. It's fashion-related but it isn't about what's the best fashion for the season or what colors look best on different skintones. Nope, today we are gettin' naked for real. FOR REAL. I am talking about boobies!!!

Ladies, finding the right bra is so incredibly important. I had always heard this and blown people off because I always just assumed that I would never find the right size bra since I am so petite but I was very abruptly re-informed when I received some bras from The Little Bra Company to see if I would review them. Because of my epiphany from this life-changing experience, I wanted to do bra-fitting justice in this silly and informative video.

Now, I know a lot of my blog readers don't watch all of my videos but I highly recommend all women to watch this one. I mean, I am wearing a freaking bra over my clothes. Doesn't the bravery of that at least deserve a watch? ;)

Products mentioned in this video:

Victoria's Secret Biofit Bra - 32A
The Little Bra Company Sascha Bra - (various sizes)
The Little Bra Company Lucia Bra
Victoria's Secret PINK Push-up Bra - 30A

I've also seen 30-band bras in various cup sizes at Nordstrom here and here, at Dillards here, and figleaves.com here, here, and even a 28 band here!

I'm not gonna lie, I was fairly terrified to post this since I know I'm going to get comments about being flat-chested, young, or that I need to eat a sandwich or something but things as important as wearing a properly fitting bra deserve a really good entry. So far, what I've noticed from the youtube comments is that people were surprised at how silly I am! I'm happy to say that my regular blog readers will not find my antics in this video shocking in the slightest. ^.~

Anyway, as I said in the video, it's so important to find the right fitting bra size because of all of the consequences that a badly fitting bra can produce. Let me list a few of the pros and cons out for you.

Problems from an ill-fitting bra:

- permanent accumulation of back fat
- permanent ditches in the shoulders from straps
- not enough support, causing saggy boobs
- dividing breast tissue fat (causing back fat/smaller boobs)
- less cleavage
- back problems because of uneven weight distribution

Pros of a properly fitting bra:

- perkier breasts
- more cleavage (even for petite-breasted ladies!)
- bigger breasts from proper boob-scooping
- looking more fit/skinnier
- no back fat or shoulder ditches
- appearance of better posture
- clothes look much nicer

Here are my TLBC Sascha bras in size A all lined up. I wanted to show you how different the same cup size can be for different bras. As you can see here, not only is the actual band bigger, but each cup is a whole cup-size different. The 32A cup would be like a 28C cup, or for a reverse example a 34B cup would be like a 38AA cup.

Here you can see the difference between the 32A and 28A more clearly. 2 cup-sizes different although both A cups!

Here also I wanted to show the difference in cup width proportion. Proper cup width can actually make your boobs look bigger because it pulls them in front of your torso where they should be. This 32A has a much wider cup width than this 30A and as I showed in the video, doesn't give me much cleavage. I actually ended up buying the Lucia in 28B which fits me much better than this 30A did.

Now I want to go into more detail into the actual bras that I received. The Little Bra Company didn't in any way pay me and were only expecting a bra review. (Therefore, this video should be a bit of a surprise. lol.) I didn't mention this in the video but I am in love with my new TLBC bras. I've never had the kind of fit from any bra in my life as I have had from their bras and am very impressed and satisfied with the quality. I'm happy with the shape of the bras themselves because they look great under clothes and, of course, alone as well. They have the perfect amount of push-up that I am comfortable with and they are comfortable to wear too. Did I mention they give me cleavage? XD

I do want to mention for those of you who are considering purchasing a TLBC bra, the Lucia band runs much looser than the Sascha so you may want to purchase your traditional size rather than their recommended 1 band size up. I wear my Lucia on the tightest hook while I wear my Sascha on the loosest, but both in a 28B. I'd probably fit the Lucia in a 26 band better if they made it. Also for reference, my over-bust measurement is 28 inches and my under-bust is 24 inches. My actual bust measurement is 28 inches while wearing the Sascha (aka not a ton of push-up) so I'm quite petite!

Note that the traditional bra sizing method is:
5 + underbust = band size
(bust measurment) - (5+underbust) = cup size 1 (1=A, 2=B, 3=C, etc)

According to this, I am a 29AAA. Sad, incorrect panda! Therefore, I've inferred that it is simply not applicable to those who are more petite than traditional bra sizes. Epiphany!

I don't really want to get into the whole media ideal of large breasts but I will say this: It took me a long time to be totally happy and proud of my breasts and my body as a whole. I'm sure nearly all of you can relate to this. It was incredibly frustrating to feel like I am somehow less of a woman because I had A-cups or didn't fill out even some of the 32A's that I would try on. It's really quite demoralizing and embarrassing. What do you tell the Victoria's Secret associate when they measure you as a 28AA (which they will never, ever, ever carry) and you know they are wrong and all they can do is shake their heads in pity? For me the only answer was, as for many things in my life, to kick myself in the butt, hold my head up high and say, "I AM a woman and I deserve to feel confident, sexy, and every bit of an intelligent and beautiful being as God created me to be."

I'm sure finding the perfect bra won't be as life-changing for everyone as it was for me but I hope that my slice of insight will at least help some of you to have the bravery to be fitted for the correct bra as well, so that you can face the world with some powerful under-armor, not just for your clothes but for your mind and heart too. We can be proud of our boobies at any size! ROAR! ^o^

Anyway, today I am wearing the grey leopard VS bra that I showed at the end of the video and seeing myself in it, I think my "girlfriends" actually have gotten larger since I've been wearing my new 28B's and 30A's that really do fit. I'm not kidding you, I cannot even put on my old 32A's anymore. Would it be totally weird if I had a bra blogsale? Some of my "old" bras are basically brand new and are really pretty. Maybe some of you ladies, after getting bra fitted, can come back here and buy some very nice bras that don't have a good home anymore! Let me know if you'd be interested. ;)

Petite ladies, stay tuned for a bra giveaway from The Little Bra company very soon! I'd be thrilled to pass on the positive experience I've had with the proper bras to someone else. Hope you can all be a little "perkier" and "uplifed" from here on out! LOL.

Disclaimer: The TLBC Sascha Bras were provided by The Little Bra Company for fit and they gifted me the correctly fitting one, as well as the matching bottoms. All other bras mentioned (including the TLBC Lucia) were purchased by myself. This post contains some affiliate links.

  1. The traditional "method" of measuring bras is definitely not working out for me either. According to it I should be a 32B yet here I am working my way out of a 32DD.

Companies need to find a better way to size their own products! All these different guides don't even work!

Thank you for covering this topic :)

  2. You know I love this post :) I'm pretty much your size so I can identify with how demoralizing it can be and feeling inadequate as a woman when I was growing up and not really coming to terms with my size until my early twenties. I think it was really brave of you to make the video... I'm not sure I could do that even today! :)

And I hate to self-promote, but I've had a lot of positive feedback about my post on How To Find Your Proper Bra Size, which includes a bra calculator that seems to work for a lot of people, so I figure I'd link it just in case anyone wanted to find out more about bra fitting.

  3. I think it's definitely about time I got the proper bra size! Curious, in your video you measured your upper chest - for you why was this more accurate than measuring under the breasts?

  4. Finally...I've been awaiting this post! I love my sascha bra too. It's great to have a band that doesn't fall down with cups that actually give some lift. Off to watch the vid ... dum de dum!

  5. Ive always had trouble sizing my boobs as well. I wear a 32b but i always feel like it doesnt fit as good as it should. I think im in between an A and a B cup. Didnt know a 30 band size existed! I'm glad u made this post. Ive always felt since i have small boobs buying bras wasnt that fun a task. The bigger boobers seemed to have better options out there. It really is frustrating! But glad to know there are more options out there. thanks for this!

  6. It wasn't until recently that I found out I've been wearing the wrong bra size my entire life, lol. A good bra really does make a difference and I'm glad you're covering this touchy subject.

  7. I am so glad you wrote this entry! I am petite like you and I really don't like VS's bras (no offense to those who love VS) because their bras never fit me. I am always in between two sizes; 34A is way too big/loose for me, but when I wear 32B, I feel like my "girlfriends" can't fill the cup, and 32A is definitely too small.

This entry helps a lot!! Thank you so much!

  11. Excellent! Another TLBC convert! In college, I was wearing size 34A! I'm probably more of a 28C, but wear a 30B in TLBC. Oh the shame of how poorly my bras fit back then! Great video, and you are so brave to wear bras on camera!

  12. omg, I love you so freakin' much! I'm not in any way petite, I'm like 5'9", but I'm basically flat. This helps so much. Thank you!

  14. super dooper thanks jen.. i can totally relate to you... i'm a preschool teacher, also 25. people see me as a high school student. kinda flattering to be looking young but on the other hand frustrating that people don't see me as "woman." there's no TLBC here in the philippines... i hope a can find the right bra... ; )

the hunt for a perfect bra is needed, pronto :D
    thanks for sharing jen!

ps: even from the small glimpses of your headband, i am loving it. where did you get it? <3

  20. OMGGGG jen you are TOOO cute! I actually sat through that whole video and on principle I don't bother sitting through homemade youtube vids that are more than like 5 minutes long, esp advice/tutorial-like things.... but you are just so adorable and sweet and I guess I can totally relate to stuff you've said! Have you tried bra shopping in Asia? I'm not sure whether I wear the wrong size (after this, I probably do) but I feel like I haven't had as much petite-trouble as you because I usually just wait until my next trip to Asia to buy bras. Then again I'm not as tiny as you!! But it is definitely a pain... I'd really love to see vids about dressing stylishly as a petite woman in general, I feel like because we always have to avoid clothes where you could cut off enough of the hem to make another garment just to get it to fit, we're stuck with really basic clothes just to get stuff that's the right size. but you have such an individual way of expressing yourself through clothes so it would be awesome to hear more about that! tips on which brands run small, etc etc...

good work hon! :) i've read your blog for a while but never commented... but this post was too cute to pass up!

  21. omg- you're so cute :]

guess it's time to do some measuring =P

  22. OOH! I love this post!
I didn't even know such band sizes existed!
I usually wear 32B but depending on the brand some won't fit as nicely.
Plus 32B is incredibly hard to find at certain stores. Thanks for sharing the shopping secrets!!!

  23. You are like a 2nd mom to me ..lol >.< I love this post and talking about such a touchy subject. I realized now that most of the bras my mom got me are the wrong size.

    ReplyDelete
  24. That was a great video, and you're so right! I was wearing 38DD for a long time, even though I realized that the band size was too large. It's just that it's really hard to find bigger cup sizes (at least in my country) and I felt it was easier to wear a bra that was a bit off.

Then I tried on a 36E in a store, and it fit so perfectly I had to buy it. Since then, I've bought another 36E bra at Figleaves. Seriously, I feel like tossing all my old bras, they feel so wrong now!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Thank you soooo much for making this video.

I'm actually much too shy to get a bra-fitting so I most probably have been wearing ill-fitting bra my whole life!

So thank you very much for the very informative video.

This might sound stupid >.< but when you're measuring the above your bust, do you need to be braless to do so? I read somewhere to measure around the bust while wearing a bra.

    Thanks again! <3

  28. I love this post!! <3
At least now I know my right size.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Thanks for this post Jen! Really fun & helpful~

Do you think that going down a band size/up a cup size would stop bra straps from slipping so much, because of the straps now being aligned closer together? I'd rather not go out and replace all my bras, but if it would solve the strap-slip problem, I just might do it xD

  30. Hi jen

This is a very good tutorial. I had similar problem too. I had always wore a 34B but just 2 years ago had a bra fitting and am wearing 34D ever since.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I love your video. It was so informative and thanks for introducing TLBC. I always though the smallest size on the market was a 32A as well. It was such a cute and brave video at the same time. I'm sure this video will help a lot of ladies out there. Thank you so much! :)

  32. You are SO CUTE! I'm so glad that you posted this. I thought my boobs were SUPPOSED to just sort of sit there, provided that they were comfortable, but after the words "strapless bra that fits" I ran to try on my bras. I'm so tired of strapless bras that shift all over the place. I'm definitely going to give the TLBC bras a try when I can, especially since I seem to be in a similar situation as Alterations Needed. I fit in a 34A right now, but that's cause the 32A's cup size got too small, not necessarily the band size (conventional 32B's seem too big). If it helps anyone else, I found that my bra band rides up in the back, which is another sign your bra band is too large (http://www.shopisabella.com/boobologist/bra-fitting.asp).

    ReplyDelete
  33. I think i have the same size as yours, the last time i checked, I'm a 28. So i think im going to try the little bra company's products, i'm so excited!

  34. Thanks so much for this post! You don't know how great it is to hear someone have the same issue as me! Bra shopping was always something I always dreaded and knew by the end of the shopping experience I would be depressed because nothing fit me. I wear a 32A and I know I should probably be wearing a 30A. I have tried Aerie bras which I have found are a bit tighter than normal 32 bras. I will definitely be checking this site out. Thanks for the post!

  36. I love this post, thank you! Do you have any tips for finding swimwear that is flattering for petite-sized girls?

    ReplyDelete
  37. I'm back from some bra shopping and need to make a correction to my earlier comment. Apparently whatever B-cup bra I put on in the past was just too big of a band size. I thought I was a 34A even though I was fairly certain my band size was 32. I am now wearing a 32C strapless bra, and it fits better than my 34A's with straps. I think the problem with the "traditional" method is that it forgets that breasts are soft tissue and rather moldable. The band size may be more accurate.

THANK YOU Jen for this post (forgot to thank you earlier). The advice about the same cup letters not being the same size in reality across band sizes is super important. My mistake in the past when I grew out of a 32A was upping the band size, when I should have increased the cup. A 34A and 32C hold about the same breast volume, but the difference in band size really made a difference in fit for me.

  38. "It was incredibly frustrating to feel like I am somehow less of a woman because I had A-cups or didn't fill out even some of the 32A's that I would try on. It's really quite demoralizing and embarrassing."

Exactly ^-^ I barely fit a 32A and always thought I just had to just "deal" because smaller sizes are completely nonexistent in stores like VS or Aerie.

I just felt the need to thank you for this lovely, enlightening post!

The only problem now is that I'm certain 80% of my bras don't fit properly. Do I dare to continue wearing them? d:

  39. For another edition of Ask Ms., could you do, how to care for your bras...like how to properly hand wash or if it's okay just to put it into a lingerie bag and toss it in the washing machine.

More on bras, do you have any tips on how to find good ones to match certain outfits? 61. Hi Jen =) I'm usually a "silent" follower of blogs in general and don't really comment but I felt really compelled to express how much I appreciate this post. (And you and your blog of course! hehe I think I'm your 3000th follower =D) This info is incredibly useful and it really reminded me how much I need to get serious with how my bras are fitting. So thank you for sharing this information and taking the time to do an incredibly informative video as well =)

Also, this question is off-topic with this post, but I was browsing some of your FOTD's and noticed that you like to use Everyday Minerals every now and then. I was wondering, do you prefer this over Bare Escentuals? (if you've tried it, that is) I've been thinking about getting mineral makeup lately, and I want to look at more mineral makeup brands besides BE, which is what everyone seems to go for haha.

Thanks! And sorry for the essay =P

  63. Thanks for the info! The post and video were very helpful for me. Btw, I have the same exact VS pink bra as you except I got a 32AA, but now I'm wondering if I should have gotten a 30A instead, I'm just a little bit bigger than you. I also got the VS miraculous bra where it makes your breasts look 2 cup sizes fuller but it's just a little bulky and makes me look top heavy since I have a small frame like you. I'll definitely be looking into the Little Bra Company.

  67. You are so brave! I could never do that, but I completely admire you for it!! I think it's a shame that people don't know these things about bras from day one. I never knew that 2finger rule.

Most companies certainly don't help petite girls so I'm really happy to hear about the little bra company! =)

  70. Hi, do you think you could wear the bra on with everyday outfits so we can see the difference it does with the previous bra you wore? I'm really interested in buying the little bra company's bras but need to see how it would look like on strapless dresses. I'm quite flat chested and an A cup too.

    Thanks

  71. gahhhh :( Been reading your blog and PAG's blog.. love to try TLBC but I live in Singapore, and sadly they dont ship internationally.

Even though generally girls in SouthEastAsia are more on the petite frame, we hardly even hear of sizes below 32. So yup would love to give TLBC a shot since I am about your size and OH NO might have been wearing the wrong size all along.

Any idea if there is international shipping from online shops that TLBC supplies to?

    ReplyDelete
  72. What if you have one breast that is one size larger than your other one? I actually have this problem...you can really tell the difference when I wear a bra and look from above.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Having a small cup size is not something to be ashamed about. Size is overrated nowadays. It was very courageous of you to do such a video. Keep up the good work.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Thank you! This is what I've been telling people for years, and you explained everything beautifully. I'm a hard size to find (petite 30D), and people always look at me funny when they find out my size. They think a 30 band is extremely tiny, and a D cup is huge! Some people just don't seem to understand how the cup size directly relates to the band size and means nothing with it. Unfortunately, even with my knowledge I have no proper fitting bras. I need a petite bra (I am very narrow width-wise with wideset breasts, so I need a bra with cups touching to pull me in, and the cups narrow but deep), and petite companies don't make tiny band sizes with cups higher than a B or C. Ugh. I don't know what to do.

I know this is four years after your original post and the chances of you seeing this now are slim, but I wanted you to know that there is a bra manufacturer that has the smaller band sizes with the larger cups. They are called Freya. They have bands from 28 to 38 with cups up to a K cup. I just looked in their catalog and they have some super cute styles with a 28 band that go up to the UK J cup which is the equivelent to the US M cup and UK 30K/US 30O. I hope this helps. You can see their selects at freyalingerie.com. Happy shopping!
Oh, and for the plus size ladies, Freya's sister company Elomi has some fantastic bras. I'm a 40HH (UK) or a 40L (US) and they are the only bras I will wear.

(note: I am a professional bra fitter. I have taken numerous courses on fitting the correct bra for the correct body type. I work primarily with women who have had matectomies, large busted women, and nursing moms. You can visit my shops website at: www.bellaformaboutique.com)

  75. OMG your most hilarious and probably best video ever! XD Love ya Jen!
Normal sizes don't work for me either, or those who has bigger boobs. It's like mission impossible =D
BTW, this AA and AAA thing is so weird.....we don't have them here, only A, B, C, D, E, F are the choices >.<

  78. Quite insightful. I recently had a bra fitting, and realized that I had been wearing a cup-size smaller than I should be. I didn't even realize before that when exercising, wearing the right sports bra was essential.

  82. This is the most lovely adorable video post ever.. I really like your personality and how you address bra sizing!! Also it really made my day to hear about how you're under five feet tall :) I am 4'10 and I sometimes feel myself getting discouraged/losing self confidence because I'm so short.. but yeah anyways I look up to you and I think you're like the prettiest woman ever, seriously.. <3

  83. Love this post! Thank you so much for the video!

I didn't know about the Little Bra Company, so I shopped from the Itty Bitty Bra Company site. But the camisole I got wasn't quite what I wanted, because it's not padded.

BTW yeah you don't look 25 and that's a good thing. Your skin is so nice!

  91. I absolutely love you for making this video and being so petite. My measurement is at a 30AA, but as all women, my cup size fluctuates constantly. I am also able to fit 30A to a 30B cup size during "that time of the month." It is hard for me to find 30B sizes, and I usually have to buy 32A bras and sew the band to a smaller size. So basically 90% of my bras either size 32AA/32A have shoddily folded and sewn wings just so the band can fit me. I know it sounds ridiculous of the large range of cup sizes that can fit me, but it really all does depend on the discrepancies of different lingerie brands and their own sizing charts. I am looking forward to buying Victoria's Secret's new 30A bra sizes, as I hope it fits. However, I do have to agree with you that they simply do not understand the proportions of petite women.

Random note: I actually work at Victoria's Secret. ;] And for anyone who is likes to shop there but are too small, Victoria's Secret's brand "Pout" that is sold seasonally (around Christmas) does run smaller than the rest of the bras from them. Likewise, VS PINK's Scoopneck and lightly lined wireless bras run smaller in the cup size as well.

  92. Bravissimo
(http://www.bravissimo.com/) has a lot of bras in 28 back size, too. They specialize in larger cups (D and above), which may be less helpful for you specifically, but I'm sure they are others out there who would greatly benefit!

  94. This was a great post!! I got measured at VS and for the longest time, thought I was a 32A. Turns out they had sized me incorrectly. I only found out recently that I am actually a 34A.

Question: how did you do your hair for this post? It looks really cute!

I always get comments that I look like a middle school girl and it's REALLY annoying to be treated as such. But your tutorials really inspire me to be more confident in my petite self, as a woman…with or without makeup! 98. Whaaaaa!!! I might be able to wear a bra!! No way!!! I stopped wearing bras completely because NOTHING fit! I'm 20 years old! I shouldn't want to cut the cups out of a girls bra and sew them into a woman's band. I would love to avoid the awkward looks people give me when they discover I'm not wearing a bra.

  99. OMG girl, you are the funniest thing! I really loved your video, and it was very helpful! I am TINY (weighs in at 88 lbs. and is 5'7"), so I have even less boobs than you. Thanks so much for de-mystifying the bra-fitting for us smaller ladies! :)

  101. Traditional method stopped working when they introduced elastic material. The "add 5" is BS. Sometimes it's add 2 or add 4. It's never the same. Every company has their own standard end different models from the same company differ in stretchiness. I'm 5'5, plump, average breast (my sister has your cute proportions tough). I wear 28FF or 30F for my 26/36. In US sizing it would be about 28H and 30G.
There aren't enough tight bands in the stores! And with the rising epidemic of obesity it's not gonna change.

Anyways, I found this chart at biggerbras.com and thought it would be helpful to others, it definitely was for me! Bigger girls need help too haha!

  108. Thank you so much for this! My measurements seem to be about the same as yours so I know how you feel. I have 1 question: The VS Biofit bra that you talked about in the beginning, did you actually fill those cups? Because the 32A cups at VS are a little big on me, and I was considering purchasing the 30A from VS Pink, but I want to be almost positive it will fit me. I'm not sure that I will fill the cups. Are they smaller than the 32A's cups, or are they the same? And how did they fit you? Thank you so much and please respond.

    ReplyDelete
  109. It's incredible how many differently sized women are incorrectly shuffled in to the dark lands of 32A. I wore one for 10 years before realizing the A cup was too small, so I moved up to a 32B. Still didn't fit. I recently had the bra-size epiphany and was SHOCKED to discover I am a 28D/DD! Wha? It sounds like a boob job! :)People assume I am rail-thin with balloon boobs.
The "add 5" method to find band size is nonsense. That method puts me in a 32AA.

    ReplyDelete
  110. OH MY GOD i think i love you. I have never found a fitting bra for me mainly because my frame is small and my breasts are HUGE. My frame is 28" and my breasts are like, 35"~36" '-' People say they want big boobs but they don't know how horrible it is. I really wish i was a size or two smaller.
some people told me i'm a 30E others told me i'm a 34F... i seriously don't know. So I think i'll go to a lingerie store and try every bra they have, now that i know how they should fit. I've always ended up with pain in my breasts because the cup would squish them together and leave me with a LOT of cleavage. Thank you soooo much. You saved my breasts, really.

  111. This post was put up such a long time ago, and I watched it back then, but I'm still so frustrated! Why is it that 32 is the smallest band size you can get in stores when A LOT of girls are smaller than the usual 34 or 36 sized bras you can find in stores? I am NOT petite. I am 5'5" and 120 pounds, and my bones are quite 'big' compared to average not-overweight 18 year old. My hands and feet are bigger than most girls, which lead me to believe that my frame is bigger than average. But I recently found some 32A bras in the store to my amazement, but they're STILL too big for me :( I can pull them out just as far as you can in your video, but I am not as petite as you. I did my own measurements and came out to a 28B or 30A perhaps. I still don't know my cup size for sure, but I definitely know my bandsize is less than 32. I'm not sure why it's so hard to find smaller bandsized bras when I'm an average sized girl. Must be because so many Americans are overweight? I don't know.

Anyway, I looked at the LittleBraCompany and I'm sad to say I can't afford their bras. I wish there was a offline store with smaller sized bras (that aren't expensive) where I could try them on before I buy.

  113. Love your videos and photos! I can tell you, that large busted women have the same issues with ill fitting bras. After many years, I have finally stopped adding inches to my band and am embracing my 28GGs. I have fit many of my friends out of their VS 34Bs and into 28/30 DD & Es. I even started a group on facebook about educating women on the correct fit. I have posted a link to your blog, because my BRAvolution is about all bust sizes finding a better fit! Thank you again for your video!

  117. Hi Jen! love your video, its so informative and funny :)

im a really petite girl(5') and 32A really doesnt fit me well :( i was thinking about ordering TLBC (I live in Asia and there's absolutely nowhere I can get them here 'cause I live in singapore, away from HK and JP) but am contemplating 'cause it would be really dreadful if i got the sizes wrong! (it takes close to $60 to fedex them back!)

so anyway i'm deciding between the 28A and 28B for Sascha and was wondering if you think they are really different in terms of sizes? my measurements are seemingly 24/25(underbust) and 27/28(bust) (i have no idea if im measuring them correctly!). I've tried to email TLBC my concerns but sadly they've yet to get back to me and I would really like to place my order soon after hearing all these rave reviews about TLBC bras! i do hope you can help me with this! :)

  118. hey jen! great vid, so helpful. I just returned the Angela bra in 32A because it was way too tight. Do you think I should go with 32B? I got 34A after and it's too big. :( Help! Thanks! :)

  119. Finally, help arrived for me, I hope! I could only wear one kind of bra right now, (wacoal 32AA) and I am not even sure if they are a real fit. I am going to give Little Bra Co. a try and I sure hope it will work out.

  120. Its so nice to see someone petite just like me, talking about bras! This is so rare and very frustrating. I can completely relate to you, going to Victorias Secret, getting measured, and then feeling ashamed and embarrassed at the fact that their smallest bra size was too big for me. The Little Bra Company sells expensive bras compared to the ones I have, but because of your tutorial I think I'll buy it. I think its inspiring the way you talked about yourself. I've always had such a hard time over my self image after not having 'large' breasts, but it's nice seeing someone who feels confident and has the courage to share this. You're awesome.

  121. Thank you so much for making this post! My total lack of boobs has always made me feel very self-conscious. This may be a little personal, but when did your chest start growing in? I'm going to be 17 in 2 months, but the only boobage I get is from the ridiculous padding in my bras. So, literally, my "boobs" are just fake. I'm so worried that I'll never have any chest at all. Do you have any advice?

Does the VS 30A bra fit you pretty well bandwise & cupsize?

    Thanks

  123. I think it so awesome that you have the courage and confidence to post this video! Knowing that I'm not the only one out there that considers bra shopping a touchy subject feels great! I am very petite like you, I get so emotional when I go bra shopping and I find bra shopping difficult because I can't just go with my friend into places like Victoria Secret or any lingerie store for that matter because here where I am they don't carry my size in stores. I recently went bra shopping with my boyfriends mom and his sister and I had a fitting scheduled and to make it a short story I just couldn't find the right fitting bra so the fitter brought me bras from the little girls department and it was so humiliating especialy because I am going to be 20 this summer. I recently ordered a 32AA because an employee recommended to but in the cups there is gaps on the top and in the outer center, and I was wondering if you think I should try a 30A?

    Thank you for your time.

  135. Hi there!

I loved the video and your blog review. Like you, I'm a petite Asian girl with an underbust measurement of 24" and I wear 28 bands. I've had my share of troubles looking for a correct fitting bra. TLBC has some really cute bras but unfortunately, I'm out of their range as they don't carry my cup size so I never had the opportunity to try them. =(

I've realized that smaller bands existed in 2008 and I've been shopping online for bras overseas ever since. Like you, I just couldn't go back to wearing my old Victoria's Secret bras. ;)

I wanted to mention a company that I wish I had known about when I was younger (like when I was in high school or college). I think it may be of interest to you and/or your readers. It's Marks and Spencer (or M&S), a UK company that offers free international shipping and affordable (about $13-28 per 2-packs of bras) lingerie in a great range of sizes. For 28 backs, they currently carry cup sizes from 28AA-28D (they use to offer 28DD-28GG in the past, these can still be found on eBay).

~*Though, keep in mind that they are UK sizes which means they are 1 cup bigger that US sizes. So If you wear a 28B in TLBC, you'd need a 28A in M&S.*~

M&S bras in 28 bands are also readily available on eBay and can be commonly found for as little as $5 with free shipping. =)

I also have problems finding bottoms that fit since I am also petite below. I usually wear size 00, 23/24, and XS/XXS bottoms in the US. So it helps that M&S also carries matching bottoms from size UK 6 (which is US 2 but I think they fit smaller because M&S bottoms run small).

Too bad M&S don't carry my cup size anymore. =(

  136. I really appreciated this video! I'm a 28 C, but just a heads up, the Little Bra Company downsizes their bras, so their 28 C fits more like a 28 A/B. If you plan on buying from The Little Bra Company, definitely order a cup size up.

  137. I am so glad you published this! I am an average Asian girl. If you want a better way to measure, check these out: http://www.reddit.com/r/ABraThatFits/wiki/fit_guide and http://i.imgur.com/tgrX4zO.png. It's shocking! I thought I was a 36D, I am now a 34G. Nordstrom is really great at specialty sizes and so are some other online companies. A well-fitting bra truly does make a huge difference! :-)

  138. A brassiere commonly referred to as a bra is a woman's undergarment that supports her breasts. Bras are typically form-fitting and perform a variety of functions and have also evolved into a fashion item. Women usually wear bras to support their breasts. Many women, with age, lose their breast volume along the tops of their breasts. This loss of volume along the top of your breasts creates an empty space in the top of your cup. you can beauty solution go to step.Soutien-gorge bretelles
