I still can't dance or sing quite like she can but what I CAN do is pretend like I'm as cool as her makeup artist and copy the look. ;]
Here's BoA's music video "Game" from her just-released album Hurricane Venus.
And here is my version of the look:
Sorry about the bad lighting. It was actually daytime when I started recording but I ran into a few roadblocks along the way during recording and by the time I finished the cicadas were roaring outside and it was pretty much time for bed. ;3
If you noticed the change in editing style, it's because I completed this on my new Macbook Pro using iMovie! I know you probably don't care but I didn't type out all the products during the video since it was a lot of extra editing steps and I don't know if people actually read them. I also talked through the video which I still kind of suck at! Haha. I just want to test a few different ways of recording and editing so if you have any feedback, please do let me know what you prefer to see. ^.^
Her and me. Me and she.
Here are some screencaps I took of BoA's video:

Maybe some of you caught on that I took the makeup look from one section and the hairstyle/outfit from another. ^.^ It's because I loved her 80's style outfit from the "street" look and thought it would be more fun to recreate. Here's more picspamming because you can't do a look this crazy and not take tons of pics to remember it by, M I RITE?
And just because I can, here is an overdose of inspired silliness.
My hand and I have great conversations.
Those with keen eyes may notice that I popped in my black Geo ck-109 lenses to try to get BoA's super black eyes. This was a fail, but an interesting effect nonetheless. I think the lenses actually balance the cray cray of the look in general.
I do also want to update you guys on my Pretty and Cute coupon code. Previously you could get a free Lioele mirror but I was concerned that a lot of you already have the mirror now, so I wanted to update my code so you could get something else fresh with your orders. I talked with Janie and we decided on a free Pretty & Cute foundation brush with a P&C order of $35! I do have one myself and it's very nice quality (much softer and higher quality in my opinion than the Sigma one that I tried and hated).
OK, I think that's everything. I hope you have a good weekend! As for me, I have a Hanson concert to see. I will not be wearing this look to it lest I scare the long, blonde hair off their heads. It could happen.
XOXO
