Manicure Monday: Candy Corn Halloween Nail Art

9:00 AM

Today's Mani Monday is a Halloween nail art look that I've always wanted to do: Candy Corn! I've honestly never been a fan of eating candy corn but I love their iconic shape and color. Since I've grown out and filed my nails to a more pointed shape, I thought it would be the perfect look to spend the last few days before Halloween.

I started off with a base of OPI Nail Envy and 2 coats of Wet & Wild Wild polish in white. After everything was completely dry, I used the sponge ombre method (same method I showed here) to apply Lioele Princess Nail Color in Soft Yellow, Revlon Marmalade (swatches), and Wet & Wild French White. The smile I added with a plain black polish, ORLY Liquid Vinyl, using a nail dotting tool. As usual, I sealed everything in with Seche Vite top coat.

If you try this look out I recommend measuring the center orange color so that it covers most of the nail to mimic the look of real candy corn. Overall, I am totally in love with this look and will happily stare at my cute, smiling candy corn friend until I change my nails again for next week's Mani Monday. ;)

Readers, are you doing anything fun on your nails for Halloween? What is your favorite iconic Halloween character? Let me know in the comments!

    1. I really love Lioele polish! It has wonderful opacity and the brush is similar to OPI's wide brush so it's easy to apply. The one negative is that it has a really strong nail polish smell when the bottle is open but otherwise I really love all of the Lioele polishes I have! Some of my favorite pastel cremes are from this collection. :)
