Mall of America Haul!
8:16 PMHey guys! A few weeks ago I took a little roadtrip break to Minneapolis, MN which is home to the infamous Mall of America. I'm talking about the largest mall in the US! Literally, there is a Nickelodeon theme park in the middle of this mall, it's so huge. I had lots of fun shopping so I hope you enjoy seeing what I got while I was there too. ^__^
Abercrombie Kids pants (Current style is "Audrey")
Forever 21 orange skirt
Forever 21 blush pleated skirt
Forever 21 orange shawl neckline cardigan (similar here and here)
Forever 21 navy chiffon blouse (similar here and here)
Ann Taylor animal pint belt (calfhair here)
Ann Taylor green scarf (similar green here and here)
H&M orange belt (similar here and studded here)
Banana Republic chartreuse lace blouse
Ikea scarf organizer (could also use a tie hanger)
Ikea Alex cabinet
I also forgot to add in my video that I stopped by Nordstrom Rack and picked up a pair of these cute Kate Spade rainboots for about $75 (orig $150)!
So what do you think? Should I keep the orange blazer and alter the shoulder pads or return it?
Let me know in the comments if you ever went to the Mall of America and what you thought!

KEEP THE BLAZER! LOOKS LOVELY ON YOU! ^^
ReplyDeleteThe orange skirt actually looks great with what you're currently wearing!
ReplyDeleteIf you like the style that "shawligan" (that's what I like to call them LOL), I have a similar one from UO that I got on sale. It comes in a few colours: pink, green, cream, blush, blue, etc. You should check it out! I'm wearing a size small here. : )
omg! I saw that H&M belt in another colour...didn't realize it was adjustable. Gonna check it out this weekend. :D
I say yes keep that blazer! I love that shade of orange on you. If you think the shoulder pads are too big on you I think the blazer would still cute without it!
ReplyDeleteI love the color of the blazer but the shoulder pads do look a little big on you!
ReplyDeleteI have on the same nail polish on too - loving orange!
Keep the blazer! It look nice on you. :)
ReplyDeleteMaybe you can do a little DIY with the shoulder pads and change them to smaller shoulder pads? The color is a great pop of orange and definitely a keeper!
ReplyDeleteGlad you were able to get such a variety of colors and styles for such great prices! Yay!
Keep the blazer, but toss the shoulder pads. I love the chiffon blouse! I just bought a similar one last week in burnt orange at H&M for only $10!! (I wanted the one in the floral print, but of course, they were sold out in my size on the very first day the shipment came in...:(). Good fall haul!
ReplyDeleteI think the blazer looks great on you! If the shoulder pads really bother you though, maybe try removing them?
ReplyDeleteI was wondering how often do you wear double eyelid tape/false eyelashes. Is it everyday?
Keep up the great work! I LOVE reading your blogs and watching your videos! They're so helpful and cute!
Camp Snoopy was WAY better than Nickelodeon Universe, I promise. Also, did you check out the aquarium while you were there? I know they just renamed that since it changed hands, but it's cool to walk through the tunnels in the tanks.
ReplyDeleteI'm a Minneapolis native, so you can assume I've been there plenty. ;)
As for the blazer, in my opinion, shoulder pads look good in very few situations. It's a cute blazer, but it'll look cuter if those shoulder pads can be fixed or ripped out.
gotta love a good haul!

I like the blazer because of the colour and the shape, it adds a little pop to the look. But if you eventually decide to keep it, you should definitely alter the shoulder pads. That way, it fits you perfectly.
ReplyDeleteLove these haul videos...to be honest I think the orange "blazer" should go back. There are better ones out there if you like the style (e.g. the one that Extra Petite got from H&M; http://www.extrapetite.com/2011/09/in-stores-now-h-crop-pants-and-cascade.html)
ReplyDeleteAnd LOVEEE the Kate Spade rainboots...I have the exact same pair (except in cream/white). You got them for a great price :)
Keep the blazer! You can alter the shoulder pads but I think it's adorable and totally on trend w/what's going on the runways right now.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the blazer and I LOVE your colour pairings! I always have to have "days" when i feel super inspired by clothing. but ive been super into patterns and classic polo looks lately :)
ReplyDeleteooh Mall of America. Sounds like a blast. Have you seen that show Mall Cops? It makes the mall look so fun.
ReplyDeleteKEEP THE BLAZER! :D
ReplyDeletethe blazer looks great on you actually! orange only works well on some people and it definitely does on you!

ReplyDeleteI loooove Mall of America! I go when I visit Minnesota on the holidays. :) I love skirt you showed in your video!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the color of the blazer and the general shape, but the shoulders are a bit too wide & the pads a bit too large. If only they were a touch narrower!

Don't you LOVE Ikea!? I love it =D
ReplyDeleteI also love all the colors that you chose!! I'm a huge fan of orange this year too! Def have to go to H&M and check out that belt. I think that's my fav item your hauled...oh, and the scarf!
I agree with the others...the blazer looks cute but maybe without the shoulder pads.
Being originally from MN, I now really miss being able to go the the MoA just to hang out. It's so huge that you can just walk for miles and take in the sights. It's the best place to waste time haha! Of course, it has a lot of cool stores and events too.
ReplyDeleteI agree with everyone else... The blazer looks great on you! If you can take the shoulder pads out, definitely keep. :)
ReplyDeleteIm originally from MN and love the MOA! I used to spend 8+ hrs there shopping...lol
ReplyDeleteGreat finds!
Keep the blazer! The colour is amazing and it looks really good on you :)
ReplyDeleteWhat size are the forever 21 skirts. I have never ordered or shopped from there and don't know their sizing....
ReplyDeletemy waist is 24...thanku!

Just bought the makeup application and makeup lesson from www.tagbuy.com for my girlfriend, she loves it! Check out their website, lots of cool deals.
ReplyDeleteI must get my hands on this H&M belt!! *____* I wonder if it's also available in other colors, though. Definitely need to check out on is.
ReplyDeleteI think you should keep the blazer since it looks fab on you! Seriously! ^^ However, I agree with the rest, you should remove the shoulder pads because they're just so 80s. lol ^O^;;
I love it when people buy furniture for makeup storage! Makeup collection video? Please?
ReplyDeletethe orange blazer is amazing and it`s eye-catching:)
ReplyDeletealso the rainboots are nice
OMG I've the same experience at Abercrombie, it's so weird that they mark up so much just for a belt or some other decoration when it's the same pants, but $10 is awesome. I love being able to shop for bottoms their because it's so cheap. You should also try Zara Girl, it's half the price of the women's section, but the quality and look is still amazing!
ReplyDeleteAm I the only one that think that the orange blazer looks perfect on you as it is? The shoulder pads look good on you since you're petite...on me it would look funny since I already have broad shoulders to begin with, but on you it looks great!
ReplyDeleteI really liked the chino trousers, they fit you perfectly and look really comfy :)
I like the orange blazer on you. I think the color and general style look great. The shoulder pads make it look a little more formal and structured, while without the the pads it would look a lot more casual. Is there anyway you can take the shoulder pads out if you don't like them?
ReplyDeleteI have similar skirt than you accept mine is blue and bought in different store. All I can say about blazer is that I absolutely love the front part (cascading waves or waterfall) the shoulder pads don't bother me it is the color (I don't like it but if you like it you should definitely wear it because it looks lovely on you) :)
ReplyDeleteFUN!! THIS IS WHERE I'M FROM!! I'm glad that you had a great time in MN!!! :D
ReplyDeleteI have the same exact BR blouse and have already received so many compliments. LOve your taste in color blocking.:) You are so beautiful! I think you might know my friend, Kami. She is also from Kansas, but is now living in Utah.
ReplyDeleteRAIN BOOTS??? WELLIES!!! WELLIES darling!! lol
ReplyDeleteI can imagine you stomping around most elegant in those x
