You guys know I've been a huge fan of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale for the last 6 or so years so I have a bit of experience under my belt of navigating the #Nsale. In case you didn't already know, Nordstrom does a massive sale discounting brand new Fall merchandise before the season begins and after the sale the items will go back up to full price. Yeah. To put it lightly, it's become a really big deal and I usually save up to splurge during the event since I can stock up my wardrobe for the the next half a year with high-quality pieces that are discounted.

Many pieces will get restocked as the sale goes on, but not always and many popular items tend to sell out quickly so if you see something you like it's best to grab it ASAP to mitigate the risk of remorse. If I'm on the fence about something I usually buy it first since I can return it if it's not quite the right fit/look which is especially true if you order online.

Ok, now down to the good stuff. I've pulled the items into easy-to-navigate categories so you know what's up. Right off the bat I want to share my most-loved items that you've probably seen me wear or pick up from the past. These are fantastic pieces that are definitely worth the purchase and will get a lot of love over time too.

Cashmere Sweater
Suede Moto Jacket
Striped Tee
Stuart Weitzman OTK Boot
Faux Leather Leggings
Longchamp Expandable Tote
Black Leather Booties

I'm always on the hunt for a good price on cashmere sweaters and I love the colors this one comes in and it's only $64.90 down from $98. BlankNYC also has fantastic moto jackets each year for a great price as well and I love this tan suede version which also comes in grey. And I'm still obsessed with these SPANX faux leather-look leggings because, to put it plainly, they make your butt look awesome. It just sucks everything in and smooths everything out and elevates any casual look.

The Longchamp Le Pliage expandable tote is an item that I bought (shown in this haul video) and love so much because of how versatile it is for travel. The bag itself is waterproof with leather handles and is super duper lightweight. It comes in several colors this year including the classics and this gorgeous rust shade.

Literally as I was making my order today a lot of these items were selling out so if you really want it, I would bookmark it and check the item out periodically to see if it was restocked. A key restocking time would be right at the beginning of public access on the 19th. If you can't tell, some of the hottest pieces that are a high risk for selling out are ANIMAL print! Whew. (If that's not a huge indicator of a major trend this Fall, I don't know what is.)

The Barefoot Dreams circle cardigan is an item that is always so coveted every Nordstrom Anni sale because it feels like a cloud to wear because it's SO SOFT, plus it's machine washable to boot. I absolutely live in mine and gave one to my sister for Christmas last year and all she did was rave about it too. I picked it up in the pewter because the pale grey color is so pretty! I've also been on the hunt for a great leopard cardigan and I like the pattern and price of this one, plus reviewers say it's very soft as well.

I'm a big fan of athletic wear, not only for working out but also fulfilling my duties of crawling after a baby and toddler which often requires a lot of flexibility and lower belly compression which high-waisted yoga pants are perfect for. ;) I also have found a new love of Alo Yoga brand since it has smaller sizing (down to xxs) and looks great in and out of the gym because of their cuts and colors.

First of all this bra is literally my favorite sports bra (I own it in a couple colors already) because it fits really well if you are smaller-busted. It comes with removable cups to prevent nipplage and I adore this dusty lavender shade, plus the mesh of the long-line part looks very chic. The moto pants are also super stylish for running errands and fit well if you are on the smaller side. I own these in classic black (not on sale) but I'm a bit obsessed with this soft grey situation.

AND obviously we cannot forget about beauty!

YSL Balm & Care Lip Duo
Dior Addicted To Glow Set
Clinique Take The Day Off Set (This is my go-to dual phase eye makeup remover & cleansing balm!)
Big Genius, Little Genius: Dramatically Different Oil-Control Gel Duo
Sunday Riley Sunday's Essentials Set
Stila Eyeliner & Liquid Shadow Set

I'm someone who finds something I love with beauty and sticks with it so it's a great time to stock up on basics that will definitely get a ton of use like these easy-to-toss-in-your-purse lippies from YSL and Dior and this waterproof eyeliner that works well on hooded eyes. And I somehow always turn to Sunday Riley when I want a little treat for my skin and Good Genes is one of my favorite mild exfoliating serums I've tried which is also ok to use while pregnant and breastfeeding.

Once I get my order in I'm planning on doing a try-on haul so subscribe to my Youtube Channel and be sure to turn on the notification bell so you don't miss when it's posted!

Hey everyone! If you are in the US, Happy Thanksgiving to you and I hope you are all surrounded by blessings and remembering the things you are thankful for. It's one of my favorite times of the year because it's a holiday that isn't focused soley on some gimmick, but it's a chance to give thanks to all those who make up what we are and who we are today. For me that means God, my family, friends, and loved ones. :)

After today the holiday season is officially kicking off and that also means the start of the frenzy we call Holiday gift shopping. In case you are still trying to decide on what to get for your friends and family, check out my Holiday Gift Guide:

You may remember that last month I went to LA's IMATS convention which was over-the-top and amazing like it always is. I even got to meet a lot of sweet blog readers as well! While I was there, I hauled some cosmetics items from a few of my favorite booths and maybe even picked up a few things for you too. ;)

Check out the video below!

Hey guys! Just wanted to quickly pop in and let you know I have a new haul video up on my youtube channel of a small order I did at Sephora. You know I'm kicking myself because everyone is telling me that the Sephora Friends & Family sale is coming up soon (I hear Oct 18-31). Bad news for me, good news for you if you are interested in any of the items I already got! ;)

Check out my vid and info on the Urban Decay sale below!

As those of you who follow me on Twitter may know, I attended a couple of really fun conventions in the last couple of weeks. First off was IMATS, the big makeup convention that I also went to last year. Unfortunately due to my filming schedule of Away We Happened, I wasn't able to visit during the public days but I did get to pop in for a couple short hours between call times on Friday. I of course picked up a few goodies that I wanted to share. :)

The next weekend, I was super excited to go to Anime Expo at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Trust me, I was in cosplay heaven and there were tons of people who went all out from wigs to makeup to impressively elaborate costumes. I'm super nerdy and a long-time fan of anime so it was very, very exciting! Definitely had to control myself so I wouldn't purchase every cute plushy or animatronic cat ears that I passed by. Again, lots of cute things to share!

Check out my haul (and giveaway within the video) below!

Hey everyone! Today I have a shopping haul that I wanted to share with you along with Promise Phan, the incredibly talented makeup guru who does sick makeup transformations on Youtube! She's a good friend of mine so when we had some time we stopped by the mall in Santa Monica and got our haul on. ;)

Check out the video below!

Hey everyone! So a couple of weeks ago I was browsing the Sephora sale section, as ya do, and came across some lovely train cases that were on sale. I have been keeping my eyes open for a nice basic train case for a while so I decided to make an small order.

Little did I know that evil Sephora had planned a 15% off VIB coupon to be sent out only a week later! Needless to say, I decided to do a double order and wanted to share with all of you what I decided to purchase. (It may include some paper, plastic, and even a laser gun. Bwahahaha...)

Video, a full list of products, and what's on my nails below!

Hello lovelies! It's time for another shopping haul! During my wonderful mid-winter trip to SoCal to visit my sister, I actually got to enjoy myself and spend time connecting with good friends and, of course, do a bit of retail therapy. Last time I visited California was my very first time to the west coast and there was seriously too much to see and too many people to meet so I feel very fortunate to have experienced Cali both ways: LA-busy and SoCal laid back.

Did I mention that I got to avoid the snow and freezing temperatures back at home? ;)

Here's my haul video:

PRODUCTS MENTIONED:

DHC Deep Cleansing Oil
JuJu Aquamoist Moisture Milk
AB Mezical Fiber
Face Cleansing Scrubber (similar from Sephora here)
Kai Eyebrow Razor (I recommend this one instead)
Baby Foot Easy Pack
Inglot Travel Palette (Customizeable palettes: Z-palette/Bobbi Brown/Unii Palette)
Inglot eyeshadow Pearl 395 (This refill fits in the palette)
Inglot blush 28 LK14CS (similar to my fav Tarte blush)
H&M Rose Gold Bow elastics (similar/similar/so cute in leather)
H&M Snakeskin bracelet (similar/similar)
J. Crew bronze watch strap (similar/similar)
Longchamp Le Pliage Large in Cyclamen
Crocs McCall Flats
Tory Burch Shearling Moccasin Boot

ON ME:

Lipstick is Maybelline Baby Lips in Pink Punch
Forever 21 hat (similar/similar/similar)
Nailpolish is Incoco Nail Strips in Plum Quartz (Sally Hansen version)

So one of my very favorite items that I purchased in my haul was the Longchamp Le Pliage large tote in Cyclamen which is a cute pink color which also happens to exactly match the shade of my laptop cover!

I have been searching high and low for a quality travel bag that is sturdy yet lightweight that can also stow my laptop in for travel. It fits my 15" Macbook Pro quite exactly so if you have a larger laptop, you may want to test it out to see if it fits. Since I absolutely hate asking for help with overhead bins on airplanes, this fits my requirements exactly!

I know a lot of my classy friends have Longchamps as well (see Jean's in black and navy) and I spotted them on every other woman in Paris but nobody wears them where I live. I'll have to stalk sales times to see if I can get the sturdier Planetes Jean has too!

This bag was a huge lifesaver on my flight back since I *cough* brought back more than I left with. XD

I hope you enjoyed the haul and I have one last question! Do ladies in your area wear Longchamps? What is the most common purse or bag brands you see locally? I'm just curious since every city I visit seems to be different! Let me know in the comments. :)

I'm sure most of you have heard tons of hype about several new drugstore products that have launched recently. In addition to Revlon's Lip Butters and L'Oreal's Infallible eyeshadows, Maybelline has also come out with a new cream shadow product that had me literally going to 4 different stops around town to find!

Here's what I picked up during my hunt below:
PRODUCTS MENTIONED:

L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow (999 Eternal Black, 889 Midnight Blue, 891 Continuous Cocoa, and 888 Iced Latte)
Maybelline 24 Hour Color Tattoo Eyeshadow (Tough as Taupe, Bad to the Bronze)
Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush in Plum Wine
L'Oreal Voluminous Smoldering Eyeliner in Black
Maybelline Expert Wear Eyeshadow in Sunbaked Neutrals
Sonia Kashuk Large Crease Brush
Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat
Revlon nail polish in Scandalous

ON ME:

Victoria's Secret Shirt (similar/similar/similar)
Ebay scarf (similar/similar)
Square ring is from Hautelook (invite here)
Nailpolish is Urban Outfitters polish in Hangover (similar/similar)

The black furry thing is my dog, Cherry. :) You can see more of her in my Bday vlog here.

So here are the new Infallible eyeshadows I picked up:
Clockwise from left 891 Continuous Cocoa, 889 Midnight Blue, 999 Eternal Black, and 888 Iced Latte

And here are swatches. You can see the silver glitters in Eternal Black. Midnight Blue and Iced Latte both have a pretty metallic sheen to them while Continuous Cocoa is more of a satin-matte finish. All are incredibly pigmented and long-lasting.

Here's an alternative swatch image screencapped from my video footage. You can see how Iced Latte has a gold tint to it which is why I love it so much!

The next item I wanted to highlight are the Maybelline Color Tattoo Eyeshadows which are a long-wearing cream shadow similar to MAC Paint Pots.

Here are my swatchs for the 2 colors I picked up. I only got the 2 most neutral shades because those are the ones I thought I would love the most, but they also do come in several more brighter colors including orange, turquoise, purple, and burgundy.

I have worn these for the last couple of days (ever since I bought them) and they have been stellar in terms of wear. They do dry pretty quickly so I actually prefer using my fingers for application versus a brush to get maximum smudging control. When I swatched my hand yesterday, these didn't come off until I used cleansing oil to remove them at the end of the day! This is something to note for those of you who tend to have issues with, say, NYX Jumbo eye pencils creasing. You'll probably need a waterproof makeup remover to get these off at the end of the night but they last throughout the day which is precisely why I LOVE them!

I want to test some of the other items in my haul out more before I give them a full review but I'll try to put them up here on the blog soon!

Hope you enjoyed my haul and let me know if you picked any of these items up as well, or if you have suggestions of other items I should try. :)

Hello everyone! Today is my birthday and I've been running around doing lots of important birthday things like renewing my driver's license, eating birthday lunch with my mom (yummy 양장피!), and posting a birthday blog post on my blog. I might even eat cake later tonight, who knows! I'm crazy! Hehe.

It seems like retailers lately are really taking advantage of it being my birthday this month. (You know I'm kidding! I guess people buy gifts for other people sometimes too.) I'm not gonna lie though, I have thoughtfully made my contribution to our economy thanks to the holidays this year and my birthday is no exception. In lieu of the season, as well as some decent new products and sales, I bought some new stuff on the cheaps and want to share my haul with you!

L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadows in Amber Rush, Bronzed Taupe, Golden Sage, Perpetual Purple
Physician's Formula Healthy Wear Powder Foundation in Natural Beige 7072
Revlon Colorstay Eyeshadow Quad in Copper Spice
Physician's Formula Shimmer Strips Gel CreamLiner for Green Eyes & Hazel Eyes
Wet & Wild 6-Pan Eyeshadow in Vanity (trios / 8-pans)
Sally Hansen Diamond Strength polish in Tyin' The Knot 32
Revlon Scented polish in Mon Cherry 335
Maybelline Mineral Power Concealer in Cream
Maybelline Baby Lips Moisturizing Lip Balm in Pink Punch

First of all, can I just say the L'Oreal Infallible shadows are pretty fantastic? The wear on these is ridiculously good and they do NOT crease on me, which is awesome for those monolid/sok ssangapul (hidden crease)/wonk eye days. I've cried through wearing this and my makeup was surprisingly intact later on.

Here are some swatches of Perpetual Purple, Golden Sage, Bronzed Taupe, and Amber Rush.

This was just a screencap from my video, but you can see how pigmented and metallic they are! In real life they are even more saturated and vibrant than shown here. I for sure need to go back and get the deeper colors for doing easy monolidded looks!

As for the big beauty clearance, I wasn't even really planning on hitting up CVS but I spotted the big red letters as I picked up some alterations and couldn't resist.

If you'd like more info on the CVS sale including a "Master List" of items to check prices on, visit Nouveau Cheap, my favorite drugstore beauty blog. She has helped me on endless hunts through drugstore beauty aisles and I credit a lot of my drugstore favorites to her hard work!

For anyone who picks up Revlon Colorstay Eyeshadow quad in Copper Spice, you can check out my previous tutorials using it here and here.

I'm going to try and record a quick birthday Outfit Of The Day before going to dinner tonight. I hope you enjoyed the haul and thank you SO MUCH for all your sweet birthday wishes on twitter and youtube! You don't know how immensely my heart feels lifted when I read them, knowing you guys took the time to send me your warm wishes. <3 This birthday I feel so loved and it wouldn't be the same without your continual love and support. THANK YOU!

Hey guys! I hope you enjoyed and are still enjoying Halloween fun. I suppose that this year part of our seasonal fun is the annual Sephora Friends & Family sale, am I right beauty community? Everyone loves a good sale off beauty products!

Hey guys! A few weeks ago I took a little roadtrip break to Minneapolis, MN which is home to the infamous Mall of America. I'm talking about the largest mall in the US! Literally, there is a Nickelodeon theme park in the middle of this mall, it's so huge. I had lots of fun shopping so I hope you enjoy seeing what I got while I was there too. ^__^

Products mentioned:
Abercrombie Kids pants (Current style is "Audrey")
Forever 21 orange skirt
Forever 21 blush pleated skirt
Forever 21 orange shawl neckline cardigan (similar here and here)
Forever 21 navy chiffon blouse (similar here and here)
Ann Taylor animal pint belt (calfhair here)
Ann Taylor green scarf (similar green here and here)
H&M orange belt (similar here and studded here)
Banana Republic chartreuse lace blouse
Ikea scarf organizer (could also use a tie hanger)
Ikea Alex cabinet

I also forgot to add in my video that I stopped by Nordstrom Rack and picked up a pair of these cute Kate Spade rainboots for about $75 (orig $150)!

I LOVE the bow on the side as well as the small heel and the toe isn't too boxy so it has a nice overall sleek shape in comparison to most rainboots. The rubber is also thinner and more pliable than other rainboots I've tried on which makes them slightly lighter and easier to walk in. If you can find them on sale I'd definitely pick them up!

So what do you think? Should I keep the orange blazer and alter the shoulder pads or return it?

Let me know in the comments if you ever went to the Mall of America and what you thought!

Hello from Minneapolis! I've been spending the last couple days hanging out with my dear friend Eki here in her city just to get away from things for a bit. We've been having several conversations that are getting my creative juices flowing and of course also eating a lot of delicious food!

Since I have a little break before we head out to the zoo today to see the Japanese paper lantern festival, I wanted to do a blog update of my recent drugstore haul to CVS and Walgreens. :)

Products mentioned:
Covergirl Natureluxe Foundation in 325 Sandstone
Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Face Powder in Beige
Maybelline Mineral Power Concealer in Cream
L'Oreal Magic Perfecting Base
L'Oreal HIP Eyeshadow Duo in 510 Electrified
Covergirl Lash Blast Volume Waterproof Mascara (regular Lash Blast here)
Milani Liquif'eye pencil in Black
Wet & Wild Mega Eyes Cream Eyeliner in Black
CVS triple sharpener (similar here and here)
Sour gummy worms :3
Wet & Wild Comfort Zone palette
Wet & Wild Color Icon blush in Pearlescent Pink

One of the items that I got that I've been sooooo lemming for for a while now is Wet & Wild's Comfort Zone 8 pan palette. The 8-pans can only be found at Walgreens and Walmart as far as I know but I seriously think it's worth the trip to pick this baby up. At $4.99 it has a lot of bang for the buck.

Here are my swatches. I will say that the texture is super buttery but also very prone to fallout since the shadows are so soft. In fact, I already dropped mine once and the pale taupe shade broke (cry) so I will have to see if I can press it back together. Overall, the colors are very vibrant and the pigmentation is impressive for a drugstore product.

Just because I'm obsessed with this shade, here's a closeup of my favorite color which you may recognize from my Wet & Wild Night Elf Palette look. It's a reddish brown with a strong green flash similar to Mac Club or Rock & Republic Lawsuit.

Next are swatches of the L'Oreal HIP Eyeshadow duo in 510 Electrified which has a gorgeous pale metallic taupe and a lovely deep purple to contrast it. The quality on these is excellent, which is saying something because I've tried other shades in the HIP line that I was less than impressed with.

In order, here is the Milani Liquif'eye Pencil in Black, Wet & Wild cream eyeliner, and Maybelline Mineral Power Concealer in Cream. This concealer is way too light for me, although it was the darkest shade available at my CVS.

Finally, here is the Wet & Wild blush in Pearlescent Pink and Covergirl Natureluxe Foundation in 325 Sandstone. It looks light here on my hand but it actually matches my face fine.

I don't want to go too far into detail with everything since I will be giving my full thoughts when I have my monthly Hits & Misses at the end of the month, but as far as first impressions go I was pretty happy with most of the items I bought. Hopefully I will still feel that way after using them for a while! ;)

I hope seeing actual swatches of the items were helpful if you were thinking about picking these up. Let me know in the comments if any of you have tried anything I bought and your opinion on it since, good or bad, it's always helpful to get more insight from the community. ^_~

Now I'm gonna go get ready to see some elephants, monkeys and beautiful paper lanterns! :D Yeah!

Hello everyone! I hope you didn't miss me too badly but I am now back from California and it was a total whirlwind! I literally jam-packed nearly every single day and I can give myself a pat on the back for braving LA traffic and 8-lane highways with aplomb in my little rental Corolla, if I do say so myself. I guess those hour-long commutes to and from work have finally paid off. ^_~

Although I am still recovering from the jet lag, I did manage to film a little video on my IMATS haul yesterday. Ignore (or appreciate?) the raspy voice. I did a lot of talking, talking, talking this past week. LOL!

If you are curious about what I purchased at the huge makeup convention, please watch below!
Products Mentioned:

Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet Foundation in #40
Make Up For Ever HD Foundation in #140
Sugarpill Eyeshadows in Buttercupcake and Midori
Sugarpill Loose shadows in Goldilux and Lumi
Parian Spirit Brush Cleaner set (Japonesque Parian Spirit here)
Unii Palette
Make Up For Ever single eyeshadow in #92 (bright matte purple)
Fairydrops Scandal Queen Mascara

If you've tried any of the items I got, let me know what you think of them in the comments. I've heard lots of people say they think MUFE HD 140 will be too dark for me... Eek!

As I said in the video, I'm so sorry if I was super shy if I met you at IMATS! I was so overwhelmed with everyone and everything there! It was for sure an amazing experience and I'm totally planning on going next year and I feel so fortunate to have met so many subbies in person. ^_^

If we did meet please send me the photo to my business e-mail frmheadtotoe@gmail.com! I'd love to compile them to put in a blog post!

Okay, time to get back to the grind. Going to work on editing my Cali vlog next and watching the vids makes me so nostalgic. I can't wait to go back. :D

I'm back from my trip to Boston and I must say, I had a really amazing time there! I haven't taken a proper vacation in years so it was a great relief to fly out somewhere with my friend Hannah and just eat really good food and, of course, SHOP! :D

Because I haven't ever been to an H&M and I had heard so much about how they have plenty to choose from in small sizes (I wear the smaller-fit size 2 there) I fully expected to haul quite a lot and luckily I wasn't disappointed.

My goodness gracious is it really already the end of March? This year has flown by so fast already, I can barely even catch my breath! Work has been intense and in the midst of all the craziness I happened to do a bit of online shopping. *evil laugh*

Because of this influx, I thought it would be a fun break from tutorials and reviews to a haul video of some things I've picked up lately. I don't do hauls very often so forgive me if I'm supa' boring. ;)

You can see the colors a bit better here. The leather Theory blazer is one of my lucky finds from a consignment shop which I found in a size 0 for only $30! I think my eyeballs popped out of my head when I went home and looked up the original price of other Theory leather pieces. I almost cried for joy. XD

Here you can more properly (Barely, since I'm wearing black pants. Oops.) see my new boots from Stuart Weitzman. Black suede, knee-high wedge boots, just exactly like I was searching everywhere for! I'll have to buy an insole since the insides are slippery with socks but I can't wait to wear them out. They aren't at all awkward on my skinny chicken calves. I will say though, that they are 3.5" tall, not 3" so good for shorties like me, not so good for mighty walking days.

This ASOS pencil dress is one that has had tons of hype amongst the petite fashion blogosphere. (Check out others' reviews on the Alterations Needed forum!) This isn't the greatest picture but you can see that the UK petite 4 is slightly roomy on me. Although it's not terrible, I did take to it my tailors to make it cuter and shorter so I will have to do an updated post when I get it back. My tailor said it would be perfect for attending a summer wedding. ^_^

My second ASOS purchase is also in a blush pink color and it covered in ruffles!!!! Ahhhhh.... But actually, the size US 0/UK petite 4 fits quite perfectly around the arm holes and body.

But honestly, for most days I'll definitely be layering this baby. I foresee this outfit with a blazer popped on top for a cute work look. :)

I've been search everywhere, especially in the last 4 years but even before then, for the perfect dark-wash, bootcut jeans and came up time and time again empty handed. I was so excited when I bought these from Hautelook because obviously, they fit me perfectly. LOL!

Okay, so they need a bit of a hem. *cough* A LOT of a hem. Designer denim always seems to be 2 feet too long! Seriously, is there someone out there with my hip measurement and legs this long? Really? But actually, I am in love with the "Dark Night" wash and the rest fits quite better than nearly everything I've tried. Winning.

Another of my perfect dark denim jeans requirements is that they have no obnoxious back pocket detailing. Frankie Bs tend to often go over the top with their pocket details so I'm glad this is so plain. This also shows the slight bagginess which was eliminated with a wash and the waist being taken in as well.

Also, I flat-ironed my hair which I haven't done in at least a year. I like it straight with the ombre dye!

Last but not least, here's an image showing my lone fail out of my hauls. I had high hopes for this Muubaa leather jacket from Hautelook since it's a UK size 4, but it's pretty ginorm. This is me practicing my bat wing flap. Definitely will have to be a return which is sad because it's nice and weighty and the leather's soft.
