SNSD 소녀시대 "The Boys" Tiffany Makeup Tutorial

Happy weekend everyone! Today's look is on another Kpop music video, SNSD aka Girls Generation's "The Boys". When I first saw this video, I was instantly drawn toward Tiffany's gold glittery eye makeup with milky pink lips and fun lower lashes. I haven't worked with glitters in a long time so it seemed really appropriate with the upcoming holidays. I hope you guys enjoy watching!

Here is my tutorial for Tiffany's look:

And here is the original Girls' Generation music video for The Boys:

I also took some screencaps/reference photos for the makeup here:

And here is my version of the look:

Products Mentioned:

Makeup Forever Mat Velvet+ in 40
MAC Select Cover Up Concealer in NC30
Tarte Smooth Operator Powder
Urban Decay Primer Potion
NYX Smokey Eyes Palette
Urban Decay 24/7 Liquid Liner in El Dorado
Urban Decay 15th Anniversary Palette (Vanilla)
NYX Glitterati Cream Palette
K Palette Real Lasting Tattoo Eyeliner
Lioele Waterproof Pencil Liner
Urban Decay Naked Palette (Buck for eyebrows)
Shu Uemura eyelash curler
Covergirl Lashblast Volume Waterproof mascara
Pretty & Cute false eyelashes in #S4
Individual false lashes
Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Exposed
NYX Round Lipstick in Circe
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in 6 Istanbul
Lioele Blooming Gloss in Vanilla Pink

And my own photos:

So I'm actually a bit surprised at how well the brown eyebrows worked for this look because I normally would only fill my brows in with an ash grey! It seems to warm up the whole face and plays off of the gold glitter nicely. Also, if the lower false lashes are too long for you, then you should try cutting them a bit shorter and only wearing them near the outer corners of your eyes. I snipped the inner 2 slightly shorter to look more natural as well.

In the end, I was really happy with how the look turned out and I hope you guys enjoyed watching too! It was nice to have fun with a thinner double-winged eyeliner which is pretty opposite of most kpop looks nowdays. If you end up trying this look, feel free to share it on my facebook gallery and let me know on Twitter as well so I can go and check it out. :D

Thanks so much for watching/reading and let me know in the comments the next look you'd like to see!

  8. OMG! Jen I love you so much and I love this new tutorial! You're a glimpse of light in my shadow busy boring world. I know this sounds exaggerated but I truly mean it. <3 Hope I'll get the chance to shine out like you someday :)

PS: How do you do to keep the lower lashes all day? Because I can't as my eyes get teary sometime, causing the glue to smudge and the lashes to fall. If you have a tip I'll be more than thankful!

  29. Love your blog, you're so down to earth :) I haven't commented before, but I just wanted to leave a couple of recommendations for products I'd love to see your review:

Klorane Dry Shampoo - You've reviewed so many dry shampoos except for this one, yet it's won so many consecutive Allure Magazine Best of Beauty Awards.

SK-II Facial Lift Emulsion - You often comment that you're skin can get quite dry, but is also prone to breaking out. Well, this is oil-free (non-comedogenic) and super moisturizing. Plus it contains Pitera, which is used to make Sake and is anti-aging. It's normally quite expensive, but I get full-size bottle on Sasa.com for around $90.

Look forward to your next post x

  33. I like the eye makeup alot but I just think that the lips turned out a little bit too pink and not as milky pink as in the original look, but it still looks really pretty. You're very pretty Jen, and your videos make me happy because you're so calm
and charming, and down to earth and beeeauuutiful :)
