Hey everyone! Today I wanted to share a pair of shoes that I'm currently obsessed with at the moment. These black lace-up heels can add an edgy element to even a simple outfit and I'm a big fan of mixing edgy and girly pieces.

I first saw sandals like these on Wendy which were designed by Schutz. Unfortunately, my Cinderella feet are too small to fit the smallest size available so I commissioned my favorite petite shoe-makers at JGShoe.com to create a similar pair for me and I am totally in love.

If you follow me on Instagram, you may have already seen them from this casual outfit. I also wore them with my Yumi Kim romper in my New Media Rockstars photoshoot. Not kidding, these sandals are so easy to pair I was surprised!

As you guys may know, I am quite petite and have difficulty finding shoes in styles I like at my size which is just a touch below a women's US size 4. Considering most shoes start in at least a size 5 or 6, it goes without saying that the selection at size 4 is often sparse and expensive. Pumps in a size 4 slip off my heels entirely so I began searching online for a petite-specific shoemaker and stumbled upon JG Shoe.

I'm very excited to say that it's time for another monthly favorites video! This past month, the weather has gone from mild to HOT so my favorites have adjusted to the change. I've been less interested in covering every last flaw up and turning more toward my skincare routine to give me a healthier canvas to work with. Because of this, I have a couple new skincare favorites and my new favorite warm-weather essentials to share with you!

Check them out below, as well as the announcement for my giveaway winner!

After doing the "Confessions of a Shoeaholic" tag video, I went back through my old photos trying to think of if I had ever posted an outfit with my beloved hot pink heels. It seems I haven't done a proper outfit post in so long that the neon beauties got left behind! It's a good thing I happened to take them to my trip to LA last year for IMATS along with my dear Kassia who makes photos magical.

The biggest key to wearing such a loud statement shoe is to go neutral for the rest of the look. Grey tube dresses and flowing blouses make for breezy, comfy summer outfits that are refreshed by the bright heel. If you look closely, you can also see some subtle complimentary color blocking going on.

Out of all the clothes I have, some of my most adored fashion items are shoes. I'm the type to always notice details and I really believe that what a person chooses to wear on their feet says a lot about them in general. Does anyone remember that scene in Legally Blonde where Elle spots the missing clue to the trial by commenting on the pool boy's shoes? Genius!

When I saw this shoe tag going around Youtube a couple of months ago, I had a lot of fun being nosy about seeing what others wore on their feet so I thought I'd share some of my favorite shoes with you today too.

My lovelies, I just first of all want to announce and congratulate the winners of my Mineral Magic Cosmetics Giveaway. In order, Prize #1 goes to hana, Prize #2 goes to Miss (Daniela), and Prize #3 goes to Young. I will be sending you an e-mail shortly, so please let me know your addresses so I can send off the prizes! I really appreciate all of the entries, and I think these ladies really deserve these gifts!

I also wanted to mention that I decided on which platform sandals to keep. An overwhelming majority voted for the pewter and although I do love the blacks too, I must agree that the pewters actually look more flattering on me. Oh well, we petites should try to stick to the rules that make us look best when we can. ;)

Speaking of shoes, I recently bought another pair of shoes that I am really stoked about. As a size 4, it is actually rather difficult to come across basic black heels that should be pretty standard for work wear. I never see size 4's at Marshall's but I happened to quickly run into one and couldn't pass up these cute buckled heels for only $34! The stacked heel isn't too high and I am -such- a fan of buckled toe details on shoes.

I decided to pair it with this thrifted Victoria's Secret slip, long charcoal cardigan from Forever 21, and my favorite grey skinnies from Abercrombie kids.

I also apparently wore that same zipper-flower headband from F21 with this outfit (which you may remember from a previous post on lipstick). Obviously, I am ridiculously behind on posting.

I loved wearing this outfit! Many compliments. I chalk it up to these totally amazing lace leggings from Forever 21. They are a thicker lace, similar to fishnets, so they feel more sturdy.

A close-up of the leggings.

Since the leggings are already a bit flashy on their own, I tried to balance out the "sparkle" factor with this amazing sequin belt from Target's girls section. Easy way to find a waist belt!

You may also notice that I kept the rest of the outfit relatively simple. The purple tank dress was from Marshalls and the charcoal cardi is the same as the previous outfit. No necklace, just some lavendar rose earrings and the headband to bring some attention up from the legs to my face. It's all about balance. :)

This entry is already getting long-winded, but I also decided on this particular day to whip out my Dazzleglasses to swatch for you all. Can I just take a moment to say that I LOVE these? Yes, they are sticky but the effect is just ridiculous in a good way. GLITTERBOMB! And I have had some glitter last to the end of a workday, even through lunch with no reapplication. I won't write much, just post pics of the awesomeness.

Money, Honey. Great for everyday looks.

Love Alert. Redder than my pic shows, and very sweet.

And saving the best for last, Funtabulous. Friggin purple glitter. I cannot tell you how hot this looks over fuscia lipstick. Even by itself, it is a show stopper!

This is how it looks on me. I just love it so much. It really pops! If you have a favorite Dazzleglass, let me know what you recommend in the comments since I'm sure I'll want more in the future.

Anyway, that's all I have for now. Hope you all have a great weekend!

Okay lovelies, I need everyone's opinion. I fell in love with the amazing Linea Paolo "Adair" studded platform sandal and decided to snatch up the size 4. In my infinite wisdom, I decided to have both colors sent to me so I could decide which to keep. My dilemma is that I have now fallen in love with both, so if you could please tell me which you like best to help me decide I would really appreciate it!

Batter #1, Pew-Pew-Pewter! This one is a bronzier pewter than I had imagined, but since it is closer to my skintone, it also makes my legs look super long. Classy.

Batter #2, Black. Classic color, and the gunmetal studs look pretty awesome. Legs look shorter than the pewter, but the black is way more rockstar.

I didn't expect them to be so different! Please give me your opinion, and if you can, your reasoning. Thank you guys!

I was recently reading a fashion blog entry from my lovely Aussie friend, Alicia. She commented on the idea of "defining your aesthetic" and I realized that I'm not sure that I have a clear fashion aesthetic. I tend to get bored quite easily with how I dress and mix and match everything in my wardrobe. I can't remember if I've mentioned this before, but I RARELY wear the same outfit twice. When I shop, it is for individual pieces, not as an outfit. The fun part is that I have a lot of unique items in my wardrobe which makes being fashionably creative more fun! I guess I like to get some things that are on the outskirts of my "aesthetic" and incorporate them in how I can.

This may have stemmed my recent favorite purchase, a pair of all black, knee-high, converse look-alike sneaker boots. I would've bought the actual Converses but they devastatingly only go down to a womens' size 6! Therefore, I was ecstatic to see that a Taiwan based eBay seller, Refuse to be Usual, was selling a similar boot in a size 35 (US 4-4.5). Although slightly apprehensive of the punk and goth lolita look of the page, I went ahead and ordered. I felt a bit silly because I don't even own a pair of regular chucks (because I feel like they don't match me) but I kept obsessively thinking about these boots and how I would wear them without looking any less ME. Sure enough, I got them and I LOVE LOVE LOVE them! See, people? Chucks don't have to be hipster. :P

I guess my personal aesthetic is something of a mixture of business casual, trendy, girly, cute, preppy, rocker.... A little bit of everything! That's just who I am, and I just go with it.

So let me know, what is your personal aesthetic? Do you stick to it? How would others define your style?
