He made a cameo appearance at the end of my Fashion Haul in case you didn't see it!

Hey everyone! You may have noticed that I've been MIA lately because I decided to give myself a full break for healing from my cold which was stubbornly not going away and also because I've recently had a couple of dear friends from my hometown visit. I wanted to share with you a few casual photos that my amazingly talented pro-photographer bestie Kassia took at Disneyland (you may remember her work from these posts including my wedding) and share with you the winner of my recent giveaway!

Today I wanted to share with you a couple of interviews I've had the honor of being a part of from around the 'net!

First off the lovely Kat from one of my favorite fashion & lifestyle blogs, Feather Factor, posted this in-depth peek at my style, favorite things, and advice on what to shop for. I'm a huge fan of the interview series on her blog (past interviewees include A Game of Thrones author George R. R. Martin as well as fascinating and successful women from all walks of life... I'm so flattered to be a part of this list!) so definitely check them out if you enjoy reading about different people or seeing drool-worthy bag and designer collections. Thank you so much Kat for the interview and I can't wait to read your future interviews as well!

Next, I wanted to share the LA18 interview I did last month. The show was "Halo Halo with Kat Iniba" and I got the opportunity to talk a bit about my experience being on the cast of Away We Happened.

Hey everyone! If you haven't noticed, I put up a new blog layout, twitter layout, and youtube layout!


I've literally pulled an all-nighter so I'm feeling a bit delirious, but I just wanted to give a HUGE thank you and "best patience" gold star to my awesome graphic designer Tommy of TombeeDesigns. We've been working on this layout for months and I am so, so excited to finally reveal it for you. A lot of blood, sweat, and tears went into it so I hope you like it too!

Here are few new features I want to highlight:

• First of all, I have added a new "pages" function which will help you navigate through the blog. Namely, the "search" page is something I spent hours upon hours creating to make it easier for you to find exactly what topics you are looking for. Please check it out and let me know what you think!

• In the header I have a "polaroid" that will send you to my most recent YouTube video.

•  Right below, I have a polaroid with a nice sticker telling you my most recent tweet.

• At the top of the right hand bar, you have a list of all of my social media links (YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, RSS feed, and BlogLovin) to make it easier for you to connect with me.

•  Finally, I've also upgraded the translation widget on my side bar to help my international viewers read with greater ease. 

Since it's still a baby, there are bound to be hiccups and bugs so please let us know in the comments any oddities you find as you navigate through the new layout.

Again, please check out my new Twitter and Youtube layouts as well and let me know what you think. Feel free to lavish Tommy with as many compliments as possible for his mind-blowing illustrations and first-class coding skills! Tommy, thank you SO much from the bottom of my heart for being an incredibly talented and hard-working designer and most of all a truly great friend these last few months. You are my hero! Now, please get some sleep and I will too! Hahaha...

Hey loves! I am currently typing from my laptop in my hotel room since I am training for a new job in New Jersey (eeks!). I anticipate that updating will be rather difficult during my two weeks out here because the workdays are long, and I'm so exhausted from the travel while still getting over jet lag from Paris! I know I don't mention it much, but sometimes I think I seriously overwork myself. XD

Anyway, I don't want to keep you guys waiting in too much anticipation for my next video (Paris vlog maybe? ;) so I thought I would post a few pics from my photoshoot at my Paris "monument". Twitter followers may have already heard a bit about it, but the Paris trip was for a project with Sigma Beauty who made the brushes I talked about here which I am REALLY excited about, but am not allowed to share quite yet.

I just wanted to say that I am thrilled, honored, humbled, and feel incredibly blessed and unworthy to have gotten the opportunity to go on this trip. I've thought about it so many times in my head and still it seems unreal for my name to have possibly come up amongst such AMAZING people who I really admire not just in makeup skill but as people. (I know, I know, I am so cheesy but I seriously can't help it. I'm still in shock.)

Thank you SO much to Simone & Sigma Beauty and Rasun, as well as xteeener, MakeupByTiffanyD, macNC40, petrilude, xsparkage, and my Paris roomie DulceCandy87, for all the love, laughs, late night talks, and I'm-not-even-kidding-unforgettable memories. <3 (I KNOW! SO CHEESE BUT I SWEAR MY FINGERS, THEY KEEP TYPING!!)

But most of all, I have always thought about you, my supporters, readers, friends, who have always carried me through so many of life's ups and downs... So much more than you will ever know. On days when I just want to give up, I have had so many times where I was moved to tears to read the kindness and camaraderie that you've been so generous to give so that we can all feel like strong, beautiful people at the end of the day. With open arms and a truly grateful heart I want to say thank you.

Ack, I've talked myself emotional. I better hurry and share the pics. ;)

Hey everyone! I'm currently enjoying the wonders of France, but I realized that I forgot to post on my blog a really fun experience that I had recently.

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of spending a couple days hanging out with Michelle Phan and Joseph Vincent while they shot Michelle's "Catch My Heart" video. If you watch below, there are a few scenes where you can see Michelle, Hannah and me having fun and being friendsies. ^_~

Thank you so much Michelle for letting me tag along with you to the festival! I had tons of fun and it's something that I will definitely never forget. Joe, you are hilarious and you are both great balls of awesome to be around. Please also tell Richard thank you SO MUCH x100 for going out of his way for us. :] Love you guys!!! I hope I can see you again soon!!

Ahh, I love looking back through vacation pics and reliving all the good memories of being there! I finally was able to gather all of my pics from my short Boston trip and some vlogging clips that I randomly took. :D

I hope that from this video, you can see how much fun I had not in just "getting away" to a different city, but enjoying all of the little things along the way from subways to shabu, outlet malls, and owls. Hehehe.

In contrast, this is back to my snapshot camera with a more true-to-life depiction of how the slurping action actually went down. I got better at it the more I ate. XD


Dinner at Bon Chon Chicken which I had heard so much about. Crazy 1 hour+ wait, but goodness that fried chicken is to die for. O_O


Hannah had an internship in Boston a couple years ago and told me about this amazing clam chowder at Joe's American Bar & Grill. The bread bowl, people! It's excruciatingly soft, flaky, warm.... Happiness in food form. Definitely did not disappoint.








And, I will leave you with one last photo of the ending of my last meal in Boston. A slice of the most amazing chocolate cake I've tasted in my life, courtesy of our charismatic waiter at Joe's. The best clam chowder, and I can verifiably also say the best chocolate cake. We ate half and finished it on the plane ride home because it was gigantic. ^____^


Eeeee, the trip was so wonderful I can't even tell you! I haven't taken a proper vacation in almost 3 years so this was a super fun getaway of just eating really great food, shopping, and spending time with some of my favorite girls. <3 <3 <3
