Hello everyone! I hope those in the states had a fantastic Memorial Day weekend. I took an extra day off work so I'm home today and what better thing to do than work on my blogs and videos, right? Right? That's what everyone does on their days off? ;)

Well, I am happy to say that I finished editing my Rania-inspired tutorial because I am really excited about the way it turned out. I know you guys pick up on all the subtleties in the videos, so give yourself a pat on the back if you noticed the improved quality. ^_^ I guess every new equipment has its learning curve, right?

When I first saw these images I was concerned about how wearable orange lipstick would be, especially since I'm not fairy-pale as some of these models were. I don't actually wear bright lipstick all that often so I was uncertain about the wearability of such a bright shade.

Fortunately, I was happily surprised at not only how wearable the color was, but also that I didn't feel as if I were wearing a screaming mouth when I actually did wear it to work.

Not only that but this particular orange, Lioele Crystal Muse lipstick in Juicy Orange, is a poppy yet flattering shade on me and was a workhorse lipstick. It literally lasted through lunch and into the afternoon. I'm telling you, it was shocking! One of the longest lasting lipsticks I own for sure. Not as lasting with gloss on top but on its own it performed way past my expectations.

Seriously cool how the right lighting can produce quality lens flare action au naturale. I literally only cropped and added my watermark! Straight up camera unicorn magic.



Don't the orange lips go great with the leopard top? I'll talk more about my outfit soon because I recorded an OOTD video the same day. Orange isn't a super common trend color every year but I must say, I am loving it this season from clothes to cosmetics. Whoo!

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this tutorial! I have some more photos that I took with this makeup while wearing my regular clothes (because I liked this look so much) that I'll have to post next time. I just don't pull off the all-red sweater as well as the doll-like IU! My face is much more angular and she has softer features than me in general as well, so for some reason I give off a more "sexy" attitude with this makeup. LOL! You'll just have to wait and see next time...

I wanted to show a full-length so you can see the waviness of my hair. I actually used a wave iron, which was really easy to use but I'm nervous it fries my hair! Maybe I'll do a video on it soon?


Everyone was asking about my nail color in the youtube comments. It's an interesting greige that leans military green. I'll have nice close-up pics and info in my next post. ^_^

I've been a bit exhausted and under the weather the last couple days so I'm going to keep this entry short, but here is a quick FOTD using Mineral Magic Cosmetics eyeshadows.

Here's what I used:

* Mac Mineralize Grand Duo Blush in Love Rock

Also, see that nifty dual-ended brush at the right there? One side has a flat angled liner and the other end is this unique cylindrical, angled-cut brush that actually works quite well with mineral eyeshadow. I've found mine to be super handy for travel. I'll be giving one away along with a few other Mineral Magic brushes very soon!

Here is the look:


I love the pop of canary yellow that Bird gives. SUCH a pigmented color! (oh, and please ignore my smudged eyeliner line :P) I wish Goth showed up better. It's a pretty reddish copper here, but has more mint-iridescent dimension in real life.



For some reason I always want to post good wavy-hair days. Maybe it was because I grew up with such straight hair. I shower at night and sleep on wet hair so when I can wake up with something that LOOKS styled, I call it a good hair day.



This look just got me thinking. I really enjoy the neutral look with a pop of color. Anyone else do this a lot? What is your "popped" color of choice?

Winter, winter go away, I want it to be consistently in the 70's please! I actually took these a while ago when I had the yellow nails, so this is a tribute (again) to Spring. Maybe if I do a sun-dance (like the Native American rain-dances?) it will make the sun shine more. I solemnly promise to wear more coral, yellow, and pastels!

This look was again using my favorite yellow, Circus Girl from Limecrime. I don't know whoever came up with the rule about not matching your eyeshadow to your clothes, but I love to anyway. I'm matchy-matchy like that. I think I used NYX Golden Orange for the outer-v and Vanilla Sky for the highlight color. And my favorite NYX Jumbo Shadow pencil for the tear ducts to bring a little sparkle to the eyes. Topped with my favorite Shisem falsies (XOG 특). Since the eyes were so bright, I kept the rest of the face pretty natural.
