Deer Makeup Tutorial | Halloween 20139:00 AM
Hey guys! Today I have another Halloween tutorial to share with you. I wanted to do a look this year that could be created versus store-bought since a lot of us think of costumes at the last minute and don't want to be the same thing as everyone else. You guys know I love doing cute and realistic versions of animal makeup so I thought it would be super fun to make-up like Bambi put my "buck" on a deer tutorial. (Oh lawdy, the puns!)
In case you are looking for a DIY costume, here is my interpretation of deer makeup. Check out the video & more pics below.

This is the reference photo I used:
Bambi, can I please have your long lashes?
And here is my final look. As you can see, a lot of the contouring and basic shapes were inspired by the actual creature. Pretty easy to make this one a "cute" look when the original animal is so adorable to begin with. :)
This headband was a DIY project I came up with by combining a decorative garland with a headband using suede ribbon. I then used felt to create the ears. I braided a few strands of hair as well and used it to create a faux headband which seemed appropriately natural-boho for the earthy costume.
Time to party and have fawn!
Hope you enjoyed this animal-inspired tutorial. Let me know if you try out this makeup for Halloween and link me any photos you take to my Twitter or Facebook pages. I absolutely love seeing when others test out my tutorials in real life!
In case anyone is planning on being a vampire this year, I'm squeezing in one last tutorial before Halloween. Check back in the next couple of days to see it. :)
Readers, have you ever been an animal for Halloween? If so, what animal? What do you plan on going as for Halloween this year? Let me know in the comments!
